A nice docking station that works exactly as planned. No issues at all and also works with port adapters, USB to USBC.

An excellent item that does what it says on the box. It saves me from connecting a number of cables to my laptop when I sit at my desk, and also adds wired Ethernet and SD card readers. I confirm that the HDMI outputs are capable of 4k at 60 Hz. Overall, the same performance as more expensive units from better-known brands, in a tidy, small package. The aluminium shell is elegant and looks well-built, and the braided USB-C input (and PD output) cable is a nice touch. My only complaints are that the cable could have been a little longer, and the strain relief at the USB-C connector should have been longer and more flexible.

Good selection of sockets. The sockets are a good fit. The unit is a nice size and not too big. Seems robust enough for the desltop. The plug is a neat size although it would be helpful if the cable had been longer. Can't comment on transfer rates yet.

Brilliant piece of equipment, I use mine for attaching a 3rd monitor when working from home using the hdmi socket and also for additional usbs for my wireless keyboard and mouse. Works exactly as it should!

I plugged everything together and it all works as expected. That includes the monitor connections, ethernet connection, sundry USB peripherals and laptop power supply. I can confirm that the case is metal. One slight niggle is that the captive USB-C cable is a little stiff, but I am sure it will eventually comply physically! INFORMATION NOTE: the hub appears as "ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" in the network settings. MAC address as always can be found using "IPCONFIG /ALL" in a cmd window. What's with all the VINE reviews of a freebee product? Addendum: Someone else has pointed out that the hub itself needs 15W of power to operate. I didn't pick up this as an issue because my power supply is 90W and the laptop only needs 65W to operate/charge. In summary: ensure your power supply is up to the task. Update: Following one of the many OS updates, Windows 11 caused the external monitors to stop working on power up. I needed to change the following settings so that the monitors came on even with the laptop lid closed. Go to Control Panel - Windows Mobility Centre - Adjust commonly used mobility settings - connect external display.

Worked well for the first few months, then suddenly won't keep a stable connection to any machine it plugs into. Have checked port end and no damage, so internals are not well connected it seems. A Shame as for the price it costs, it worked well before suddenly deciding it didn't like working anymore in such a short timeframe

I bought this to upgrade from a previous model I had as I needed HDMI & Ethernet in a single hub. I am able to connect my iPad using Duet & an portable monitor to my laptop through this. It provides power pass through to both and charges my laptop via the PD port. Would highly recommend to anyone that has similar requirements.

I have an HP laptop that came with HP's 140 Watt USB C charger. If I connect HP's charger to the hub's power delivery port and connect the hub's USB C cable to the laptop then the hub repeatedly trips the power to the laptop on and off every 5 seconds. If I use a non-HP 67 Watt charger instead then the hub works OK. I'm surprised the hub is unable to communicate with HP's USB C charger to limit the power to the level the hub can handle. The HP charger certainly adjusts it's power output to safely charge my earbuds so it seems to be a USB communication fault with the hub.

I had previously purchased a 10-in-1 USB C adapter from a big box store that claimed to have the best buys. I had a 4K monitor attached to it as well as power delivery and my USB mouse to my Lenovo laptop. But the screen kept flickering, and my mouse would skip. After switching to this USB Hub (which costs less than the other one, I might add), all those issues went away. My screen no longer flickers, and my mouse doesn't skip. Better price, better performance, what's not to like?

This is a replacement for another brand's docking station that the HDMI output failed. I noticed the failed unit always got hot. This UGREEN unit is cool all the time, and I think it would last a long time as heat is a great enemy of electronics.
