Beyond Impressive!
It’s been more than 18 years since I last bought a flashlight. Back then, white LED lights were still a novelty. Brands like Lightwave were selling giant torches with clusters of tiny diodes: four LEDs on 3 AA batteries gave you around 20 lumens, seven LEDs on 3 C batteries maybe 35 lumens, and the “huge” ten-LED version (running on 3 D batteries) pushed a mere 50 lumens. At the time, SureFire was the gold standard, boasting 120 lumens — which felt revolutionary. When phones began including their own flashlights, putting out 20–30 lumens, I figured that was the end of it. Why bother with a flashlight if a phone could already match or beat what those old monsters could do? I never thought a truly tiny flashlight could surpass my phone in a meaningful way. Fast forward to today. On a whim, I picked up the Nitecore TINI 3, and I can honestly say I wasn’t prepared for what this little thing delivers. First Impressions The TINI 3 is.... tiny — under two inches long and weighing far less than a car key fob. On a keychain or in a pocket, it practically disappears. (YouTube reviews make it look bigger than it really is.) But the second you switch this tiny thing on, you realize why it deserves to be carried: this is not a random gimmicky gadget; this is a serious tool. Performance That Defies Size I started with the 15 lumen mode, and it immediately outshone my phone flashlight — not just slightly brighter, but more usable. The beam had more clarity and throw. At 65 lumens, the difference was big. This was real, practical brightness in a form far smaller than a car key fob. For the first time, I realized just how far LED technology and optics have come. Then came the higher modes: 200 lumens for sustained use — a level that feels shockingly powerful in such a tiny light, easily flooding an entire room or throwing an impressive amount of light for confident day-to-day outdoor use. And finally, the 600 lumen turbo burst, which made me laugh out loud the first time I saw it. In a light this small, that kind of power feels unreal. Indoors, it instantly drowns a room in clean and very powerful light. Outdoors, it feels like something far larger is in your hand. Beam Quality & Color Options What really impressed me wasn’t just the raw brightness, but the quality of the beam. The TINI 3 produces a rich, smooth flood — wide, very even, and pleasing to the eye. It doesn’t feel harsh, just natural illumination wherever you point it. Nitecore also added something I have never seen in a keychain light (or any flashlight for that matter): three selectable color temperatures. You can choose between cool white for maximum punch, neutral white for balanced clarity, and warm white for softer, eye-friendly light in close-up use. Each one feels thoughtfully tuned, and it’s shocking to see this level of implementation in such a small light (Nitecore needs to carry this exact implementation into their other flat EDC's) Final Thoughts I went in expecting “cute and useful.” What I got was a powerful, modern tool in a micro package. For someone who remembers lugging around clunky multi-LED flashlights that barely hit 30 lumens, the TINI 3 feels like science fiction. It’s smaller than my old Pocket-Bright keychain light from years ago, yet produces hundreds of times more usable light — with better beam quality, smarter color options, and real practical value. If you’ve ever thought your phone flashlight was “good enough,” this little keychain powerhouse will change your mind the moment you turn it on.

Another awesome Nitecore light. Perfect
Wonderful keychain light. I have had nitecore lights on my keychain for many years. I use them several times a week whether looking for something under the tonneau cover of my truck, making a quick run to the shop building after dark or retrieving my phone from between seats. This little light really puts the light out. I like that it can be soft enough to read by in the dark or bright enough to see what is going on down by the chicken coop, all in such a small and easy to use form factor. The flashlight that is with you when you need one is the best flashlight, this is always with me.

Sweet light, miniscule form factor
This thing is a beast! First of all, accurate name. It's tiny. Maybe 1"x1.5"x.5". Has a bunch of features packed into that small space. Has a small screen that displays lighting modes and time remaining on the battery at the current brightness. Two buttons to control the various functions. Power button turns it off and on, remembering the last brightness you had it on. Once on the top button cycles through four levels of brightness. If you press and hold the top button it'll give you "turbo" brightness, or 600 lumens - triple the normal maximum. Release and it'll return to the previously set level of brightness. USB-C recharging is awesome. Just ordered two more, one for my other bag and one to clip on my badge at work for when I misplace my regular flashlight.

Super Bright For Such A Small Flashlight!
This is a very bright flashlight, it's able to easily light up even a fairly large room when turned on to boost mode. It's also extremely small which is a big bonus! Easily able to put it on your key chain and forget about it until you need it. It has 3 modes for different weather conditions and different desires, They are warm, mid-warm, and white light respectively. I personally leave it on Warm most of the time, since it makes it feel a lot nicer on the eyes for me. When you have it on the max brightness of 600 Lumens it's able to have a run time of about 20 minutes. It doesn't sound like much, but you hardly ever need it to be that bright. I usually have it at 65 to 15 Lumens when doing things outside and those modes have a run time of 3 and 8 Hours respectively. It seems to be decently durable, as I mentioned I have mostly used it outdoors at night. So far the paint hasn't chipped off or gotten scratched by the keys that it's attached to, though that very well may change with time. Over all a very small versatile key chain light! If you're looking for a light that's much brighter than your phone light but don't want to carry a large flashlight in your pocket this is a great option!

Neat Find for EDC light, a little pricey though
Saw this on a YouTube video of neat little gadgets. Prime day had it on sale, so I bought it for my wife. I will say, for it's size, it's a powerful little light. Its fairly simple to use and the digital screen read out is pretty convenient. In each mode, it tells you the duration of battery life it will have. Which is nice to know. Given it's size and full metal casing, it appears durable. Its small, light weight and pretty decent for edc. Will post and update once she's had and used it for a month or so.

Used it more often than most of my other lights!
Pretty neat little light! It clips nicely onto my jacket zipper. I would walk at night with it on the minimum 1 lumen setting just to improve others visibility of me. When necessary, I can just press and hold the second button to boost to 600 lumen to see something, and that is super bright! I've used other Nitecore light products before which is a tactical flash. This one is far easier to use with two buttons, along with the OLED display, instead of one! Another feature that caught my attention is the ability to set the color temperature. Set it to 3000k(warm) setting makes the light very pleasing to the eyes for most occasions, including reading...etc!

great reviews on utube , sturdy everyday carry .

Solid product. Works well on a keychain and the lock function does its job (I've not found the torch burning bright in my pocket like with other products) The low light 1 Lumen setting is also surprisingly useful. I've used it as a night light and left it on in hotel rooms over night. In this setting you get 90 hours+ of run time

excellent product... I own the original Tini and the Tini 2... the Tini 3 is a nice improvement... the increased battery life is well appreciated... I recommend this product... mine lives in my jeans pocket-watch pocket while the Tini 2 still resides on my key chain and is standing up well to day to day abuse

Small but mighty. Not cheap, but great torch to have on your keychain.

Charging port cover came off when opening for the first charge, supposed to be attached by a hinge, for $60 + this should not happen! Poor quality.
