Great Product but Amazon Customer Service Sucks
The eero Pro 7s are a great product. I have them wired via ethernet to an eero Max 7 that I use as the router. Performance is top notch. Can't say the same about Amazon customer service. I used the trade-in program Amazon offers and traded in my Orbi 960 system. I received a gift card and the email said I could get 20% off on my next eero purchase. When I ordered the Pro 7s, there wasn't a place to use the 20% discount so I chatted with an Amazon agent who told me to go ahead and do the purchase and chat back in once it had arrived. I did that but Amazon wouldn't give me the 20% discount. I then had numerous chats and phone calls to no avail. One agent told me over the phone that he had issued the refund and it would arrive in 3-5 business days. It never arrived. So, I am left with the impression that Amazon mislead me with the discount offer and the agent on the phone simply lied. At this point, I have given up on getting the 20% discount Amazon offered in their email to me.

Amazing Irrigation Timer - BUY IT NOW
This product is absolutely amazing. I could not be without the Rachio timers. This is a product is a game changer. I have two 16 zone timers and they have worked flawlessly for years. The setup is much easier on the new version. You can actually turn on the water and test it as you stand in front of the valve. You do not have to run back to the timer and turn off and on the system like the old timers. It saves TONS of time when starting up the system after winter.

Life-changing! I didn’t realize how convenient switching to Rachio would be.
Life-changing! I didn’t realize how convenient switching to Rachio would be.The Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller (16 Zone) has made managing my yard so much easier. Setup was straightforward, and the app makes it simple to control everything from my phone. I really like how it automatically adjusts for rain, wind, and freezing temps—so I’m not wasting water when I don’t need to be watering. The local weather intelligence is surprisingly accurate, and the automatic schedules take a lot of guesswork out of it. I’ve definitely noticed a drop in my water usage since making the switch. The Quick Run feature is super handy when I just want to test a zone or give a specific area a little extra water. Overall, this has been a great upgrade—reliable, easy to use, and actually kind of fun to check on from the app. Glad I made the change.

Simple install and great app.
I was skeptical because of the price compared to the hunter unit that I replaced. Super easy to install and very intuitive. I love the fact that the Zone wires are pushing and easy release rather than screwed in. My unit pulls water from my Lake and that was just a simple to connect. It fires up my pump perfectly. Easy insulation, just take lots of pictures of the existing wiring and even then if you get a couple mixed up there's very simple to switch. This review was done with voice to text, I'm actually not illiterate. Highly recommended.

Big Improvement
I replaced an existing controller with two 16 zone Rachio 3 units. The old controller handled all 20 zones but an expensive monthly subscription service and additional module are required to achieve remote access and weather data for the controller to use in modifying the watering schedule. It would have been nice if Rachio offered a 20+ zone option or a 12 zone option, but it is nice to know I can add up to 6 zones per controller in the future without upgrading the hardware.I'm very happy with the Rachio controllers and discovered I can operate two zones simultaneously (one on each controller) which reduces the total time required for watering. Initially I wished the app did not treat each controller separately, but this actually is a nice feature. Admittedly this might not work well in areas that don't have necessary water pressure.I located the Rachio units outside so I also purchased the weatherproof outdoor enclosures. The need for two controllers located outside complicated the installation, but once I had the wiring sorted and the outside enclosures mounted, the remaining installation was very easy. Connecting the zone wiring to the controller could not be easier and was completed in about five minutes for each controller. I don't doubt that replacement of an existing indoor controller or installation of a new indoor controller is as easy as Rachio and the many positive reviews indicate. The controllers fit perfectly in the outside enclosures and the provided holes in the enclosures worked perfectly with the 1" PVC that protects the zone wiring and the flexible conduit I used for the AC wiring. The enclosures are very sturdy and appear to be designed to properly block moisture. We haven't had any rain since the installation to confirm their effectiveness. The Rachio app is great and is reason enough to go with the Rachio product if everything else is equal. It is intuitive and very easy to use. Rachio also offers browser access to the controllers and I found it was a bit easier to set up the zones that way. One can use the default wide-area sourcing of relevant weather data, select a nearby weather reporting station or use a personal weather station. The nearest reporting station is nearly two miles from my home so I've ordered a Tempest unit to maximize the accuracy of the data used by the Rachio system to determine the watering requirements for each zone.

lasted seven years, a pretty good run
After about 7 years, it power cycles often, and loses wifi connectivity even more often. Overall, it was a good run, and I'll probably replace it with the same (albeit 12 zones, which will suffice for my needs). It never worked with HomeKit, but perhaps the newer version will (???), albeit in my (older?) version, HomeKit does appear as an option, but it won't work.
