What is the fixed incline on this machine?

The incline is 10.5 degrees as shown in listing. I just got this and it is well built and solid. But... unless you are into inclines it could be tough. Definitely would get your heart rate going. As others have indicated you can put something like 1 inch thick wood blocks or even a 2x4 to raise it up. Even 1 inch higher up would make a difference. To the person who was worried you would then slip off... that won't cause you to do it. In fact it is the opposite. The incline is designed to make the belt and gravity make it easy to walk but it find it is too much and I have to fight to keep from sliding off the back. So I made the aforementioned adjustment with some wood blocks. The unfinished wood offers plenty of friction and the machine won't slip off and neither will you. Note that mine is on carpet. On wood or tile floor I would put something between the floor and the wood like a piece of an old playtex rubber glove to it won't slip.

What's the return policy if i purchase and don't like it?

The return policy is on the website and it is crazy strict very difficult to get a refund. Highly suggest anyone thinking of buying this product go to the website and read it first!

Is this fixedvincline?

Yes, if you raise it up with a 2x4 gravity, it won't move the belt quite as easy. But if you don't raise it, as MANY reviewers have commented, it is tough for the averrage person walking up that 10.5 degree incline. Solution: use the allen wrench and loosen the belt as described in the manual to compensate for the lower incline. Problem solved.

How smoothly does the belt move? Is it easy to walk on?

It's a very deliberate motion as YOU provide the belt with the energy that makes it go. It is as smooth as you are. For instance I trudge or plod. Sometimes if I am listening to music I go faster [2.4-2.9 mph]. But I have raised the back of it as it's incline is steep and if you don't hold on to the bars, it will get away with you. I am older so that was extreme for me. The belt is as smooth as your stride. You make it run. I have no experience with a motorized belt, though, so it may seem kind of crude. But check out some You Tube videos. I did before I bought mine. You'll be able to tell how smooth it is. It's also quiet if that's another concern. Just a low shh shhhh shhhhhh as the belt moves . Perhaps that will help. Your input works up a sweat. Like walking with a dedicated purpose. I love mine.... and sometimes I hate it.
