I bought this unit as an upgrade/replacement for a RM850x and while the power delivery is better, the motherboard's (ROG Maximus XIII Hero) boot code often gets hung up when the power cable is unplugged from the PSU. This takes a couple of minutes and restarts to work through, but then everything fine. (Almost like it is trying to relearn something it forgot.) This issue never happened on the RM850x which booted perfectly every time. I am trying to decide to return it, but I don't want to go through the effort of swapping it out with the old unit. PSU upgrades should be boring, not eventful.

There seemed to be a loose screw inside of the psu that must have popped out as I shook it out. I was never able to find said screw. This happened as soon as I unboxed it. I figured that was a non issue since I couldn't hear it anymore, so let's just use it as I dont want to keep returning stuff to Amazon (a LOT of products recently from Amazon are defective out of the box and I dont want any penalties).That was a grave mistake. Not only are the tolerances for the female connectors on the psu side not good (some are normal and easy to push in while others are incredibly stubborn and hard) the qa on the cables is also bad. It seems like a bad crimp and I cant push the cable back in to its housing.Thats fine because there is another hwpr cable I can use, right? Wrong. The psu will still trip eventually even while running a stress test as light as karhu. Warzone is an instant crash. I thought my windows was the issue since I've been running ram ocs and testing recently on my main install, it was not and this made me waste hours setting everything up again for literally no reason. It was the psu all along.For a $350 psu, I expect better Qa. I am willing to pay so much to avoid having my time wasted like this. Historically corsair support is good, their psus have been unkillable monsters (cx450 ran an oced vega 56 back in the day and didn't even trip once). This seems to have maybe changed?I know there are defects in every single product that's manufactured, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Specially since the faulty cable was connected to my new 5070Ti Tuf that was $1k by itself. For a $350 product I expect Qa to be better than a sub $150 product. However it seems to be worse based on 3 things being bad in my personal unit. Im not sure if I want to try another corsair psu. At least not one of the new 2025 models. I will likely end up on a ax1600I or something.

Not sure how to feel. System wouldn’t post (VGA debug led). I was using (4) pcie 8 pins NVIDIA adapter. I swapped it to the 12v 2x6 and it posted.
