John Varvatos Men's Hipster Chukka Boot

It feels a little tigh when putting my feet in but once in they are the most comfortable boots.This is my 7th pair and they look great with a pair of jeans or a dressed pant.UpdateThis is my 12th pair of these boots. I just love them.But this would be my last pair because they don't make them anymore. They are making a slightly similar but with leather sole but with a higher price$226.00 or 236.00)I'll wait when they come on sale on Amazon or Zappo.

I'm very pleased with my online shoe purchase of the Hipster Chukka Boot. They're very stylish, the leather's extremely soft, and comfortable. The sizing was my concern due to different brands vary, but the size fit perfect. This is my 2nd pair of John Varvatos I've purchased within the last week, the other pair has leather interior and cloth exterior and a lace-less option which is how I've been wearing them.

These shoes are the bomb. Very comfortable and great casual shoes. But the Black Leather is no where near as cool as the suedes. The Suedes I give the FULL 5 star!

these boots look and feel great, and are probably the best chukka boots (imo) that you can get in this price range. timberland makes a great one but is in the $300 range, and don't fit as comfortably. there are several others of lesser quality but lesser price, but these seem like best value. there are also really cool looking boots but they start running $500+. varvatos themselves make a really cool chukka boot at $750.on to the complaints:1. i've had varvatos sneakers before and know they fit one size large, so i got a 9.5 when i'm truly 10.5 (measured again heel to toe just to confirm). the 9.5 was still too big, so i had to return for a 9. the 9 almost seems like a 1/4 size too big, but i'm afraid 8.5 will be too small. i'm keeping the 9, and amazon's incredibly easy return policy and process made this painless.2. this is a big one. the default shipping option seems to be shoes.com. the price from shoes.com is $199. i came back to buy another pair, because i liked them so much, and noticed a coupon if you ordered select boots shipped from amazon. i decided to check "other shipping options", and found an amazon option (and it was prime eligible). to my surprise, this amazon option was $148.11 (before the coupon). this pretty massive price discount is buried, and i have no idea why amazon would default shoes.com here at the higher price. annoying.tl;dr: choose the amazon shipping option and buy 1-1.5 size smaller.

I love these shoes. The fit is comfortable. They breathe well. The quality is outstanding. I wear these to work several times a week for a year now and they don't look much different then when I got them new. Great shoes. 10/10 - would buy again.

I bought a pair of black and brown Hipster Chukka boots. First bought the black pair at a Nordstrom's store. Later ordered same in brown through Amazon. Both are 10.5 however there is a half size difference between them. Black fits perfect and feels like a slipper. The brown is small and width is tight. When placed sole-to-sole the difference is measurably obvious. When ordering a brown shoe through Amazon be prepared to do a possible return.

always LOVED JV shoes..own many pairs..6 i think!. Price is excellent as most others at 198 and above. The site says midnight as color and the picture looks to be dark navy...its actually like a dark charcoal and its a perfect color, though i did expect it to be navy-ish..no biggie as the charcoal will match more with my clothing. Would highly recommend as it is stylish (get many compliments) and fits comfortably.

​These are simply the best shoes I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable and the stitching is a work of art. Yes, they may have a high price tag but some things in life are just worth it - these shoes are one of those items.
