Insta360 X5 Invisible Dive Case

High quality! I looked at cheaper options and I’m glad I bought the brand name product from Evo Gimbals. They are THE go to for all Insta360 products. I used to be their UPS Account Executive and they have everything you could possibly need.

This is a great diving case, a must have if you are taking your x5 underwater. One small downside to the case is that it is quite scratch prone. So you must be extra careful with it. Compared to the x4 dive case, I’ve used one in the past, I believe this one has a larger form factor.

Works perfectly with the insta360 x5. Comes with adapters so you can use with the invisible selfie stick. I used it in Tahiti without the antifog pads and had clear pictures with no fog though I loaded it up dry inside my hotel room with low humidity and totally dry. I’d probably use the pads if I was out on a boat or on the beach when setting it up. The only downside I had is that holding the insta360 in one hand makes it much harder to swim in strong currents. The dive case is a good investment for the camera.

The insta360 X5 dive case works great, but as many folks will tell you...you have to take extra care of the dome lenses. I scratched mine trying to get some surf/tide video when a wave knocked the camera over and it was drug along the sandy-ish beach. I caught it rather quickly but I have about 6 permanent scratches on the lenses. I still use the case since I am not doing an professional recording but it is noticeable most of my shots and vids after that incident. I do have the case it came with and after market rubber covers but they don't work if you scratch the plastic lenses while recording. I have had no issues with the picture quality other than those scratches but again I am not doing any professional stuff just memories and video sharing with friends.

This product is a requirement if you want to use your insta360 in the water due to light refraction in the water. Unfortunately it scratches very easily. I think I was very careful and kept it inside the neoprene bag unless I was in the water, but after 1 dive I already had visible scratches. The 360 stitching is not 100% seamless and I regularly see some distortions in my footage. Hopefully this they can fix in software.

Update Review- it's good now! I was early in getting the Insta360 Dive Case and it leaked and my snorkel videos from the Galapagos were trash. BUT I now have the improved version, in part with updates made by the seller from my feedback. Pleased to share that while Cozumel isn't the Galapagos, the housing now stays sealed water tight... No leaks and the buttons now are fully functional without any issue. I can now recommend buying it.

This case works great! I went diving with it a few times and the videos look awesome.

A must for scuba diving ONLY! If used out of the water the stiching between the two lenses will be horrible. Actual photo taken in a scuba dive site in Grenada WI.

Original! I was skeptical that it will just be the case itself but it came with a dive pouch, anti fog slits, screws and adaptor for the invisible selfie stick. It is expensive than buying directly from insta 360 but at least you know it's original and easy to get here, especially when it's urgently needed.
