Skates for Christmas
Santa brought some Skorpion skates for my 13 yr old boy for X-mas. He had them on in a minute, and off he went. They are sturdy, easy to adjust, and look cool enough for a teenager to use them! I also purchased some walking/ski poles to help him balance. Overall, Santa made a fine choice.

They really don't run small
I had read a lot of reviews that said these skates run small, so I ordered the large 8-12, well, one should note that these are size 8 - 12 MENS and are very, very large. I wear a boys size 5 sneaker, and woman's size 6 1/2 to 7 and these are way, way too large. I gave them to my son. They are interesting, but difficult to maneuver if you're used to inline type skates, but they do work well for getting over terrain, as you don't have to just use them on asphalt. This is a good thing depending on what you're looking for.

THESE SKATES ARE JUNK!!!
These skates look really cool don't they? I thought so too when I bought them. Been rollerblading most of my life and was looking for something easier to skate in around town with the uneven pavements and bricks and different surfaces they use these days. I found these at a local store and found them to be perfect to take off and on while still wearing my shoes, but I wasn't thrilled about them being all plastic. ONE DAY of skating and in the middle of a street the wheel cracks and BREAKS OFF! And after examining the other wheels they were cracking as well. THESE ARE JUNK! DON'T BUY THEM! I will continue to search for something similar that REALLY works but these aren't it! If I could sue them for what happened, I would! At least I got my money back! But I really want a pair of these type of skates that ACTUALLY work and will last for many, many years like all of my other rollerblades.

Great for beginners and outdoor skating
The quadlines are great for recreational outdoor skating. The 10mm large wheels roll over uneven pavement with ease. The shocks provide a smooth ride. The extra wide trucks provide lots of stability, on the other hand make it difficult to make tight turns. The right skate has two back brakes, similar to inline skates (regular quad skates have front brakes), making stops easy. You will get a lot of attention in these as they definitely look cool and unconventional. I get stopped all the time when I'm skating on these by people asking questions about them. Some of the comments I've gotten were: Cool, these are like cars for your feet! In summary, if you're looking to skate outdoors recreationally these are the skates for you. If you're looking to skate for fitness, these are NOT for you. You will not get much of a leg or cardio workout with these. I've skated up and down hill with these and didn't even break a sweat.

shipping take forever
After a month of waiting for delivery, I looked up contact info and kept on checking with the sales rep as to when they arrive. Two months later, they arrived. I tested them out, they're junk. I've been skating/rollerblading for many years and these skates are not even recommended for beginner. Don't buy them. The only positive thing I can say about them is the online commerical make it look so convincing. The rest of the picture is just not great, from the sale to the product. You are better off buying from the local sporting goods where you can see the product in person.
