My parents were pleased that this sorted out their loft light that stopped working

Old strip light in the kitchen stopped working. Assumed the fluorescent tube had come to the end of it's life, so bought a new one on Amazon, but still didn't work. After a few months making do with a standard lamp in the corner, inserted one of these starters and, hey presto we have light! Despite it being a very old unit, the starter slotted in easily and the light seems brighter than before. As others have mentioned, the two starters came loose in an envelope, not in the packet as shown, but this is not a problem.
