Test Drive Unlimited 2 [Online Game Code]

As of time of review, the key works on steam and you can launch the game.However, I did have a pirated version installed and working before installing this legitimate version. The legit version instantly read my pirated version's save file, so it's possible it read other files and verfied/authenticated the game through the old files. Weird archaic stuff. (My pirated version was slightly broken so I decided to just shell out the $20 for a legit copy.) --- In other words, my pirated version may have carried this version to launch.That being said, Steam will say you need to register on a website which no longer exists. This is false. You can ignore this message. The launcher will say you must be online for the first use of the product. Click cancel. Another window will eventually pop up asking for a serial code. Steam will have given you this code labeled TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED 2. Copy and paste this code and it will work. From there, click start, and the game should launch. Windows will ask for permission and yell at you about firewall stuff, just give it permission and allow the program to run.I'm writing this 20 minutes after I bought and installed the game, so uhhh, no word on longevity and repeated launching.I do recommend getting involved with the TDU World mod. It REQUIRES a legitimate copy (this copy sold on Amazon). It aims to revive the TDU2 experience with multiplayer and many other addons. In fact, probably any purchases of this product will be to play that mod. Looking forward to Solar Crown...

First off yes if you just try to download and boot the game regularly it won't work because Atari wants you to create an account on a website that no longer exists. So to play the game simply install it as normal through steam then before launching turn your wifi/internet connection off and boot game. It will ask you to play in offline simply click yes and there u go game boots up everything works! You can alt tab to reconnect to internet just know if you exit you will have to do the process again.

Just like the other reviews have stated, it does not work. I bought it because it is my favorite racing game of all time and I saw a recent review mentioning it works if you use it offline. It does not. I tried it with no internet, I download the universal launcher and unofficial patch and I still can't get it to work. It gets into the first screen and crashes every time and I need to get into task manager to end the task of the program.I think it would be easier just to get a ps3 or X360 emulator and play that version. Don't bother with this. Unless you want to pay $20 to have the title in your steam library and look at that and remember what it was like to play the game back in the day, because good luck getting it to work nowadays.

The game is old and requires a program to run to bypass the security features of the game, even if you buy a legal copy. I found one online in a Youtube link that allows me to play the game. The program is called TDU2 Universal Launcher by Knyazev's Tools. It's sketchy but it works and allows me to play the game once buying a copy of the game

The media could not be loaded. I put the code in steam and downloaded and it played just fine I didn't have to do anything! Love the game as I use to play this years ago and would love to play this game again. I have an rx580 4gb, Ryzen 5 2400g, and 16gb ram running windows 10. I would recommend this game to anybody!! It gives you an error when you start the game just press cancel then it says want to play offline and you press yes and your playing!

I'm not good at these reviews so Ill make this short. I wasn't aware I could buy the steam key on Amazon or if it was going to work but it did and with a mod called TDU world I've been able to play without any problem so far. I also added in the patches and some community-made patches which have fixed several things. Hopefully soon, TDU world will have the coop working again.

It stopped working after one day

When I was able to actually play the game , STEAM was playing third party which was even worse than the second party which was Amazon.You pay for the game then STAEM says they just want a cut of the action, in simple terms. No thanks. The game itself was tolerable. It did run OK on WIN 8.1 and 12 gig of ram from a solid state hard drive . Make certain your cooling fan is running. Waste of time and $20 as far as I'm concerned. Maybe it was just a bad idea when too many parties are involved in this. This is more of a teckie world but this is for consumers.
