I have found that there is a much greater focus on grammar in key stage 1 and 2 than there was when I was at school (or maybe I have just forgotten). I wanted to be able to help my daughter who is now in year 4 and I find that this is a very useful reference for us both. It is easy to follow and accessible for my daughter. I would highly recommend this book.

My 10 year old son was struggling to understand the difference between verbs and adverbs, amongst others. This dictionary was recommended to me and it's been so useful. There's lots of things I don't remember doing at 10, so is helping me to help my 10 year old. Would definitely say get one!

My younger kids who is 8 loves this. Before getting this book he was writing very long sentences and now he tries to be more reasonable.

Brilliant for those SATS. As a parent so much has changed, so relearning grammar and how it is now, is crucial in helping your kids. My 8 year old still looks at this and will use it still for years to come. It is easy for kids to understand and easy for parents to re-learn and help!

Very helpful book, if like me, you sometimes struggle with KS2 homework your children get. Based on the new curriculum, with explanations children can understand. Really helpful to have around!

This is an excellent grammar book for KS2 children. Use it to help check my son's grammar homework - even though I work in the school I still find some grammar confusing and so does he. Simple to use.

Its a very elementary reference book for grammar and punctuation for school starters. Not much exercises and practice questions to strengthen the grammatical concepts for early learners.
