Great value.
As a residential electrician, I primarily use milwaukee 5 ah m18 batteries. I saved one with a fried circuit board and a bunch of 18650 cells from other batteries that stopped working. I used the circuit board to fix one battery successfully. The only weird behavior is when heavily using a power tool, the safety stop feature stops it for multiple seconds, then I push the power indicator button, it shows the bars left and works again. With the case and 18650 cell kit (I provided 'old' cells, fully charged before install.) I didn't read any directions. I spot welded and soldered a few spots, found pics of battery layout in harness on Google. I connected an old 5 ah m18 circuit board, from a battery that stopped working properly from 2 failed 18650 cells, used the battery housing in this kit. In conclusion, this kit gave me back two milwaukee 5ah batteries, from the grave. After using the batteries remade from this kit for a few drilling experiments, they seem to work great, besides the aforementioned seconds long overload stop and restart in the salvaged battery with the circuit board from this kit, which isn't a big deal, and probably protects everything more than without the seconds long stop.

Milwaukee xc 5.0 4.0 battery replacement case(China replica only option works good)
I own a garage and milwaukee is my go to tool and proven to outlast all other power tools hands down. Only downfall is I use the 1/2 1200 ft # impact daily on wheels. The vibration is hard on batteries cracking the cases after years of use. Milwaukee will not sell the m18 battery cases so the xc 5.0 4.0 batteries become useless once the cases fail. The 18650 batteries were still good after 3 years. So as bad as I hate CHINA made anything I purchased these plastic housings. Overall they seem like decent quality replicas of the milwaukee xc 5.0 4.0 battery packs minus batteries. It's actually a kit to build your own battery packs. The only issue is there are small plastic tabs on the top part of the battery case that must be trimmed as they keep the case from fitting snuggly on top the battery pack. I used a utility knife(I included pics with the tabs trimmed circled in color for better understanding) and took the blade straight down on the tabs from the top of the new case and they popped off once trimmed. Lot of people on here giving bad reviews because you have to spend 1 minute trimming is ridiculous. After trimming the top part of the new case the old battery pack assembly fit perfect and they include new Phillip screws so you don't have to reuse the old safety torx screws. This is an excellent replacement case for the xc 5.0 battery pack that requires 1 minute of trimming. This is the only replacement case I could find. Man up boys & girls and do some trimming. It's easy as hell and saves buying a new $100 battery pack.

Broken 100 dollar battery?
I dont understand why people are crying about this item giving it negative reviews. This is a HUGE money saver when it comes to a broken milwaukee battery. I own a mechanic shop with about 20 batteries floating around and the cases get broken, it happens. I have saved a bunch of money using these cases to replace the OE ones. Keep in mind this case is designed to buid your own battery. To reuse the milwaukee battery pack you have to cut some tabs off the top case. I will attach a picture of it. Its simple process doesnt take a genius or a dremel. I used my pocket knife to do it. I would say these cases can take equivalent abuse compared to the OE case. Notes: You need a TT10 Torx bit. This is a special torx with a security indention. This socket is needed to take apart the OE battery. The new case uses phillips head screw. Thank you to the seller for this product!! <3

Not the best quality
While it did work to replace my older battery case that broken, it had to be modified to fit and close correctly. If you compare the two cases together you can see they aren't made exactly the same which is why modification is necessary.

Cheap fragile replacement shell
Purchased to replace my original shell that broke after a year and a half. As another reviewer mentioned, I had to use a Dremel to grind away a bunch of tabs on the inside to make my original batteries fit. It worked fine, but after 33 days of daily use with a 1/2 Milwaukee impact and this replacement shell already has multiple cracks all around it. I'm now having to buy a 2nd one to replace the replacement and it will become a permanent, rarely used backup battery. For a hobbist, this might be ok. For a professional, this is no good. Bad quality for the cost.

Good Quality M18 Replacement Battery Plastic Case for Your Broken Milawuakee M18 Battery
Good product for the money. Had no problems with fitment. What is nice is this battery case isn't loose like the Milawauakee Batteries from the factory. This battery fits nice an snug on my M18 tools. Saved me almost $70 bucks virus buying another battery. Love Amazon!!!

Cheap fix for a bad Milwaukee design
I've had both my Milwaukee M18 XC 5.0 batteries split apart because the screw bosses are just a weak design. Each time I was not abusing the battery at all and it just broke in half and the bottom hit the floor. I had slathered it in epoxy and that lasted about a year before breaking even more. Then I discovered these aftermarket cases on Amazon. I ordered one and figured I would test it out before buying the 2nd one. It comes with all the guts except the actual batteries. I didn't need to repair any of that so I just swapped the old guts into the new case. For some reason you need to snap off all the little plastic protrusions that come on the top of the aftermarket one. I suspect maybe it's to avoid some kind of patent lawsuit or something from Milwaukee. Once I did that it went together fine. Old batteries came apart with T10 security torx, new ones just a Philips head. Make sure not to go crazy on tightening those screws. I assume this case is basically a copy of the original and not an improved design in anyway. It appears identical minus the Milwaukee stickers.
