You would think a butt grip would be the simplest thing to buy and use but over the years I have found this is not true. They are generally of poor construction and eventually fall apart or simply don't fit right. I was not sure about these when I bought them and was not really impressed by the somewhat fiddly setup process which is definitely not 'plug n play'. However once set right these are absolutely outstanding. The stainless steel ears which hold the rod are exactly the right shape and grip really well without being an iron grip. The ears are long as well and when the rod is placed in them it is just a simple one finger press and that rod slides perfectly and snugly into the grip. Best of all it's easy to get the rod out as well. The finish is not the best but is perfectly acceptable. When setting up be aware it is easy to drop and possibly lose the small spacer rings which are fiddly. Also the knurled nut and bolt need to be very tight indeed otherwise the ears will spin out of position but when tightened properly they are solid and do not budge. So my conclusion is that they certainly are a little frustrating initially but when it gets to the nitty gritty operation on the bank their performance is absolutely perfect and for what they cost are an absolute steal.

Awesome value for money. I have been a carp angler for many years and have used one's 5 times the price and these are just as good if not better.the looks are a massive bonus

Does the job. I have a number of different sets of rods for carp, pike and catfishing with different diameter butts. These are fully adjustable to desired spacing to hold rods firmly, but can easily be picked up when a fish bites.

They look great but the total lack of instructions for adjustment made setting them up for my rods time consuming because of the need for repeated trial & error and removal from my buzz bars Once they were set I left them alone and they’ve been Ok on the 3 sessions I’ve had so far

Ich nutze die Rutenauflagen hauptsächlich zum Karpfenangeln. Sie sind praktisch, lassen sich leicht einstellen und passen auf verschiedene Ruten. Für den Preis wirklich in Ordnung. Einziger Nachteil: Die Stabilität könnte besser sein – bei härteren Bissen oder unebenem Untergrund merkt man, dass sie etwas nachgeben. Für normales Ansitzen aber absolut ausreichend und vom Handling her sehr angenehm.
