Dungeon Web-Crawling
Marvel Ultimate Alliance takes influence from several other over-the-top camera angle RPG/dungeon crawling games such as Diablo and Gauntlet. From there, it mixes the play-style of these games and adds the Marvel Universe to the recipe to create a concoction of epic proportions. The first game I ever played for the PlayStation 3 last gen, Marvel Ultimate Alliance pulled me in immediately and resulted in me sinking hundreds of hours into playing the story over and over again, due to the diverse and vast chast of characters within the game. Characters like: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and Wolverine are obvious choices for the game. However, at the time of release, this game also included characters who (at that time) were more obscure for mainstream fans with additions like Deadpool and Moonknight. Whereas Deadpool is now a household name, upon its initial release in 2006, that was not the case, and it goes to show just how diverse the roster was. Each character contains many of their signature powers that can be utilized in-game to maneuver around the various locales present in the game. Create a team of 4 characters and battle your way through the dungeons, fighting Marvel villains along the way and visiting various Marvel locations from the comic books. This bundle includes both Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and Ultimate Alliance 2. While the graphics were improved with the second game, the overall story and gameplay lacked the same intrigue and originality to garner the same level of praise and recognition as the original. However, the game is definitely still worth checking out. This digital code can still be redeemed on the PS4 (I just purchased it a few months prior to this review), and it worked without any issues. This allowed me to once again dive into a game that I spent so much time on last generation, and re-visit what made it truly fascinating for me.

Improved over the original
I was playing UA1 on PS2 the other day and wanted all of the other characters so I looked it up and found these games were now offered on the PS4 and yes, both games have all of the DLC characters added to the download. As far as the greyed out characters you can still use a code to make them instantly available or you can just play the game and as you meet them they become available. I purchased a PS4 just because I wanted these games with their complete content.I could tell right away that the sound and the graphics have been improved, not a bad price at all considering you get 2 lengthy games with all of the content and the upgrade on top of that mentioned before. This is a great addition to any Marvel fan.

Code still works
I had asked a question to see if anyone tried it recently, was answered by someone that bought it a little over a month ago that it had worked, so decided to give it a go.Thankfully I am able to get the games, have yet to try them, but MUA was my favorite game that I had played on Wii and PS3, so wanted it on PS4. Bonus is there's apparently 2 of them so yay. Kind of bummed seeing there's a MUA3 but it's only available on the Switch.I've read in my search for this game that there's issues with online play, which isn't an issue for me because I enjoy co-op couch and have no interest in online play.Anyway, I'm only giving 4 stars because I haven't actually tried the games yet, but just letting people know that the code still works as of the date of this review.

Bad port
I loved this game. This port has major issues with graphics it’s to light and to dark at the same time. It just looks ugly. It’s kinda. Sad cause this game does rock.

Disappointed
Played this game on Wii a few years ago and was excited to get back into it. I was disappointed because I forgot how repetitive the game gets. I love the idea of the game but every mission is the same with a different setting, doesn't take much thinking to figure it out.

Code Works
Just like other people before me, I also wondered if this code was going to function considering how the games were delisted from all digital market places. At the moment, this seems to be the only way to get these two throwback games. I especially remember waking up extra early in middle school to get a good hour or more of game time before the bus picked me up. It was Ultimate Alliance 1 on ps2 that introduced many Marvel characters I had not heard of before and led me to fantasize about the Infinity War coming to life in film one day. (which it did) $60 for two games isn't bad since I don't see the licenses getting refreshed anytime soon.

Ultimate Alliance Rip off. Love the original game but....
Paid for the Alliance Bundle and only received the original, which I already had on an older PS. Really wanted to relive the original and was so looking forward to playing Alliance II but Alliance II would not load. The Code was crap.Called Amazon and they told me to call PS who told me to call Amazon for help. The amount of help I received from either: zero, zilch, nada, none. Ultimate Alliance Rip Off. What do these huge corporate whores care? Nothing, zero, zilch, nada, not an infinitesimal fleck.

The code actually worked. The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series is so much fun, I LOVE IT.
I still love MUA 1 or should I say the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games in general. Although, I never played MUA 2 but now I finally have that chance. I'm glad to be playing this on my PS4. I've been trying to move on from my inferior Wii version of MUA 1 to something greater. Time for slightly upgraded graphics and no more motion controls. The code worked perfectly and having dlc content available is kinda new and exciting for me. These games will keep me busy for a good while until MUA 3 releases on the Switch.
