Staedtler Mars Technico Pencil (2Mm),Black

Yes its expensive, and yes there are good cheaper options available. But the feel of this is classic. It feels good to just hold it. It is slim but feels solid. And the eraser given is black in colour! I've never seen a black eraser before. Both the pencil and eraser work perfectly well. PS: also realized that it doesn't waste leads when they shorten like other pencils since it has clutch in the front that holds the lead even when it has shortened.

Perfect functioning but not dark enough. Had to order separate 4b. Wish I could get 10b also.

Great pencil holder

Nice look as well as Nice grip to draw, always nice experience with Staedtler products.

This is a special edition, a black version of the classic and timeless 2mm clutch pencil by Staedtler. Has a lead indicator as well but that is fairly pointless unless you have a lot of them with differing leads. A bit pricey but worth the premium as this is a fairly indestructible product and a classic.

Superb and smoothto use ..

Works beautifully. I love the design feature of the grade of graphite engraved on the clip that you turn to the arrow printed on the pencil. The sharpener in the top is a nice feature too. My mum used these for her professional illustration when I was growing up, and didn’t need to replace one in 40 years, which is great durability and value for money. The textured metal grip makes it easy to use and I just hope mine lasts as long as my mum’s.

This is easily the best 2mm lead holder there is and the black color is just a bonus. The clip is great and denotes, by position, which lead is in the pencil (4B thru 4H and red or blue). Some holders have alternate ways to do the same thing but in my experience, this is the best way. What you have selected will not change unless you want it to - too many times with other brands the selector changes from normal use. There is a built-in sharpener at the top which works great but honestly works better with a second holder. The holder has a textured grip right where you want it and works very well. The gravity feed works as expected and does not require much pressure to work (I have had holders that required a strong thumb lol) but not so light that it happens accidentally. The holder is light weight, made of plastic and metal but feels substantial. I am a large man and have sit on this holder several times accidentally and its still in one piece. I absolutely love this holder and will be purchasing more.
