Is this product gluten-free? Most black bean sauces contain some wheat.

No wheat products are listed on the label, and the “allergens alert” stament says nothing about gluten.

I don't think so. It's made in China.

The description says black bean, but picture shows soybean. Previous answers contradict. Which is it?

They look like black beans but I don't know for certain. I've eaten and cooked a lot of Chinese food. Maybe they are the same.
