We needed base plugs for our baseball field and these are more than adequate. They were easy to put in and with the included shovel, they were easy to get out and put in the bases. I also like that it is a set of 12 as, inevitably, they will wear out and this gives us two sets for both fields.

The foam is slightly to big and it didn't fit into the base anchor. The foam can be compressed to fit in but then the string and tassels pull out.

These were perfect for our baseball/softball dirt field. Since the field is used for both sports we have to have all bases set all the time. The little spiky hairs on top do tend to get pulled out when dragging so it is a good idea to have extras. However, they are very durable and do not need to be replaced all that often.
