Lemon Saver

Works exactly as it’s described. It’s kept my lemons fresh for weeks! It also keeps the juice in the lemon so I’m not worried about leaks. It’s sturdy and a great quality. It fits a full, healthy lemon perfectly.

Keeps my lemons nice and fresh

Yeah, it's yet another doodad for the kitchen, and you're wondering whether it's good and whether it'll be one of those things that you use once or twice and then toss in a drawer or cabinet and forget about it. Well you needn't worry. This product is the real deal. Easy to open and close (uses a twist lock) but keeps the produce inside fresh. Big enough to accommodate to large examples of what it is intended to hold. Ditch the plastic wrap and use these instead. Unlike a bread-maker or an ice-cream machine, these cases are effortless to use. I took a chance on the lemon, tomato and red onion ones, and I use all three regularly. Even if you weren't looking for this product (as I wasn't; just saw it on Amazon while browsing other stuff), just spring for one of these for any fruit/vegetable that you don't eat the whole of in a sitting. You'll be glad you did.

Love these veggie savers! My vegetable drawer can become a bit disorganized and already cut up veggies get lost among the other veggies and hard to find. You end up using a fresh lemon forgetting you already had one half used. That is no longer a problem with this. The already partially used lemon is easy to find in this. Plus it looks nice on fridge shelf (not lost in drawer) adding color to your fridge while protecting the cut up lemon inside extending its shelf life. It is better than using any other food storage container because with this, as with all the veggie savers, I don't have to wonder what is inside each container as it is the exact color and shape of the veggie it is meant to store. This makes it so easy to find the veggie you need quickly and get cooking! (Got if for $5.99 in Jan. 2015.) I have previously bought the Tomato Saver by Gourmac , Hutzler Onion Saver, Red , Hutzler Pepper Saver, Red , and Evriholder Avo Saver Avocado Holder . Love them all!

I got this to match the Onion and Tomato Savers I have. Like the others, it's not a magic produce but it works reasonably well and is convenient. In the case of lemons, the biggest concern after cutting is usually evaporation of juices (versus outright flavor loss/spoilage of tomatoes being the concern). This product seals tightly and helps to reduce this drying out which makes the lemon more useful. Given lemons seem to stay fresh for a long time, I do not know if this extends it because I generally use a cut lemon long, long, long before it has a chance to spoil. Other pluses of this item include: the shape/color makes it easy to identify in a stocked fridge, the container keeps scents in, the closed design also prevents bugs, dirt, and debris from accumulating on the fruit, the ability to run it through the dishwasher is a plus & the plastic used does not have safety concerns in regards to high temp & toxins, and overall the price of this is reasonable given it isn't much more than any other ordinary sealing container. I like most of the Hutzler products, and the Lemon Saver is no exception. The primary reason in summary is that it makes my life a little easier, and saves me time. So given the price is low and convenience factor is high, this is a product I consider to be a must have.

This lemon container works very well and lasts forever, we’ve been using one for the past few years and it still works like new, great gift to those who use lemons, kiwi and the like, would order another without worry 😎

Perfect quality - definitely 5 stars, but a bit overpriced. Anyway, difficult to find the same in Canada anywhere else. Recommend to buy.

Easy to handle. Keeps the lemon fresh and it’s easy to find it in the fridge.

It’s big in the fridge but makes room for big lemons. I overall enjoy this container. Seems to work pretty good at keeping it fresher too
