339 Chibi with Darning Needles

Needed to replace one that disappeared. This is a great tool for people who work with yarn. The large bent tip needles are smooth, have large eyes, and are high quality. The little case is sturdy and a convenient size and shape to carry in a tool bag for your project.

Great tool to finish off your crocheting projects! Slight curve at the end of the needle makes it very easy to get under crocheted stitches.

I had been using straight needles to finish my knit/crochet projects until I saw a friend using one of these. I bought two sets right away. I used my new needle last night and it was SO MUCH EASIER than a straight needle. The bent tip grabs the stitch you want without you having to push your hand down to finagle it. The gold-ish color of this needle made it easy to see, the size made it easy to manage, the size of the eye made it easy to 'thread' the yarn through, and the smoothness lets it slide through your stitches. Someone left a review that it felt "cheap". I disagree. I have used plastic embroidery needles in the past, and this is not plastic and does not feel unsubstantial. I like the size and had no trouble with it on my light-worsted-weight project. Perhaps for really thin yarns it might be too big, but it probably depends more on the tightness and elasticity of the stitch/yarn in question. I love the screw-top case the needles come in. I have one for my home bag and one for my on-the-road bag. I am so happy with my purchase!

This is a must-have set of darning needles for anyone who is just starting to knit or crochet, and a great addition to the established knitter or crocheter's arsenal of tools (like Clover Knit Mate Knitting...

In spite of the fact I keep swearing I will get a little case for my crochet hooks and notions, I never seem to get around to it, as I don't want to add another lumpy object to the bag I keep my projects in. So I tend to end up with a Ziploc baggie with extra hooks and bits and scraps in it. As you can imagine, that doesn't work out well with yarn needles unless you keep the original packaging envelope they came with, which is a pain to deal with. I liked the needles that came with this for finishing off my projects, but even better was the little case for the needles. Easy to find and fish out of the bottom of my bag, too big to be easily lost, but compact enough to not get in the way in there. Even more important, no rough edges that snag on my projects. Additionally, you could fit several more needles or even some small notions like buttons in that case. This was a great little purchase that I am very happy with.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am crocheting a very nice short sleeve sweater! I am sure that I will be able to sew the sweater hem and sides together!

Possibly overpriced but convenient all the same. It's nice how you can put the container on a cord. You can fit all kinds of little things in there.

This little case is perfect at its job. It is sturdy and just the right size to hold many needles and a needle threader. I bought it for the case, though this particular option because the price was quite reasonable AND I did not yet have needles with a bent tip. I had a case like this but in green that I carried around for YEARS. It was great. Recently, my daughter snapped the lid off (it looks like it might be a snap lid, to be fair). As soon as I noticed that I knew I would need to get another one, STAT. This shipped from the UK. I'm not sure how that makes financial sense for the seller, but I sure appreciate it!
