A Good, but Dense Guide
I thought this book was a great resource, it was a bit dense at times, but it was a good reference point for many projects in building a home.

Comprehensive, concise.
Follows AISC Steel Construction Manual, and explains it well. Doesn't give too much detail, just enough to understand the concepts, and uses good examples, solved for both LRFD and ASD. Highly recommended as a guide to the Steel Manual.
