DV Inline Valve 1 in. FPT | 100-DV-NPT

High quality. Purchased 7 Rainbird valves. All worked flawlessly and greatly improved the volume of flow in all 7 zones. I was amazed. But then again my 33 year old Rainbird system probably needed an upgrade. I thought I was having a pressure problem when I saw how limp some of my zones were spraying. I put a gauge on and was getting 60PSi out of the hose bib. After replacing valves in 2 zones I was amazed at the increase in volume and distance of throw in those zones. So I then replaced 5 more zones. Definitely worth the effort and price. Yard survived a rain-free Summer.

Works good and was able to fix my system without problems

Original OEM part that fits perfectly. I didn’t need to install the entire assembly, piping was fine. I disassembled the valve chamber (6 screws or so) on both old and new unit. This was much simpler than I thought.

First the good...... 1) valve arrived quickly 2) price with shipping and tax is reasonable 3) valve looks new 4) it's a rainbird valve .... And now the bad ....... 1) the picture on top of amazon listing is different - - shows a valve with flow control - but this valve does not have this on it 2) some of the parts of this new 100-DV valve may not be interchangeable with older units 3) took my new one apart and it had some drops of water in it ........ I bought this valve to fix a non-working unit in my yard.... I used the top half of this new valve and put it right on the bottom half that's still glued into my system, (works fine)...... I found that its cheaper to buy another complete valve rather than buy the replacement parts, plus you get a new top half housing and if you should find something wrong with the bottom half (doubtful) you can swap out the whole valve.... This bottom half on this valve is NPT female threaded, other 100-DV valves have different bottom halfves ...slip...male thread....It really doesn't matter what valve you buy if your just going to use the top half .....they all seem to have the same mounting screw pattern...... and just so you know, all I actually needed was a solenoid, but the only one Home depot and lowes stock does NOT work on the older 100-DV valves (mine was from 1995) ......also the solenoid on this new valve does NOT work with my old valve.... However change the whole top half and no problem, everything works fine ... also I stated under bad there were drops of water in my new valve, this might not be bad.... could be from them testing valve to make sure it works "ok" ....but it also could mean "used" .....however it looked "new".....Furthermore these 100-DV valves don't seem to be carried at the big box stores and that's what was originally installed on mine.... they lasted this long with no problems, and that's over 20 years, which is pretty darn good.....so I wanted to use the same ones if possible.

Quick shipping. Had to replace a similar model that had been installed for over 25 years. Installation was easy and the valve worked great.

they shipped quickly, no issues. great price. my sprinkler system solenoid was broken, very weak water pressure. there were no leaks on the pipe, so to make it easier, just replaced the top. and voila, works like a charm. fits like a glove. would buy again if I had to. great. should take you 30 mins to an hour, taking your time. its not too difficult, just a little time consuming. oh, and make sure you screw the top very tightly, very tightly. otherwise water will flow out. very tightly, trust me.

I needed to replace the diaphragms and solenoids on my 3-valve sprinkler system. After checking prices, I found it was cheaper to order the entire valve. I ordered and received three new Rain Bird valves. I removed the old valves and installed the new ones. I did not replace the valve bodies as they were still in good condition and therefore didn't have to needlessly cut and re-glue PVC. The diaphragms, solenoids, valve tops and screws all fit the existing valve body with no issue (I don't know the age of the existing valves I rebuilt as I bought the house in 2019 but I would estimate they were about 10 years old). PLEASE NOTE: My valves DID NOT come with handles as shown in the picture (as mentioned in other reviews). I reused the ones I had from my old valves.

Two older (9 years) in place valves were damaged (internals) by lawn mowers. Unscrewed the damaged top part off of the in place damaged valves, and screwed the new tops (after removing the new bottoms) in their place. New valves worked great and NO leaks. Saved a lot of time and effort not having to remove the existing in line bottom portion of the valve (the part that connects to the underground irrigation pipe).
