Suspense (Old Time Radio) Audio CD – Audiobook, October 1, 2008

This item was purchased for my 80 year old father who recently lost part of his vision and lives on his own. Watching TV and reading are no longer activities he can enjoy..........passing the time doing something enjoyable is even more difficult for him now. He has really gotten a kick out of listening to these old radio shows on CD ! --- His only complaint is that there aren't more stories like this on CD; he could listen to them all day long! He loves old mystery theater.This company had wonderful turnaround time on my order and the product was true to its description.Thank you -

Ok ....I have been so engrossed in my first 2 cds (Johnny Dollar and Dragnet) that I am just getting to Suspense, so that is where I will leave you.........IN SUSPENSE! until next time and next order. I didn't know so many stars was apart of this radio show. Love the bio. that comes with the cds. I always read that first before putting on the shows. The background is so interesting. I am becoming a "drumbeater" for these old shows with family, so I am quite please with my purchases. thank you

I love this CD collection. It is nostalgic and entertaining. I pop one in at night and listen to it. If you want a piece of forgotten nostalgia, you need this CD. The sound is incredible and I love the commercials. I can't wait to choose my next one... perhaps comedy this time!

Ahhh.. "Tales well calculated to keep you in~ SUSPENSE!!" These old radio plays are a treasure and worth every penny. This is one place where you will actually look forward to the commercials!! Good old "Roma Wines" and "Auto Lite Spark Plugs" I only wish there were more plays to buy!!

I marvel at what people must have been like in the 30s or 40s. I like to listen to the old radio shows and think about what a marvel radio must have been then, before television. We take much for granted these days with the our instant communications and all. And, it's accelerating all the time. Anyway, there is not a great deal of suspense from any of these stories. I listen mostly for the nostalgia and to hear the voices of the stars I grew-up with. It's still fun.

I promised myself that I would listen to one show per day. My order arrived to day and I'm already on CD #4.These stories are great AND I love the commercials too.I'm placing an order for the next series.

I like the old movie stars that are in some of the stories and the collection is very nice. I would like to see more old time radio collections.
