I initially didn’t know these kits were available to repair the elastic cords on zero gravity chairs, so I was a little sceptical as to how good they were. However, I have used two of the four cords and successfully repaired the chair and it’s as good as new. Very pleased. Instructions supplied were a little sketchy but a couple of internet searches and a YouTube tutorial helped.

I recently broke the cord on one of our recliner chairs which we use when caravanning, so I have been on the lookout for a cheap repair. I wasn't sure about using these cords initially as they are slight narrower than the ones originally fitted to my recliner. But they are perfectly strong enough. The kit comes with two short cords for the upper part of the chair and two long ones for the lower part. I removed the broken cord and compared the lengths of the old and new: they were pretty much the same, so I guess these are a one-size-fits-all solution.I had only one broken lower cord so I decided to keep the other three for spares. The trick to getting a good installation is to use the other in-place good cord as a pattern for how to insert the new one. You will need to keep the tension fairly tight as you thread the new cord through the holes otherwise you will run out of cord before the end of the job and will then have to shuffle the tension all the way down to balance it evenly. It's a little tiring on the fingers but it's an easy job provided that you follow the pattern of the other cord as you progress.The cord ends are fitted with a small foldable tee bar which lies flat when threading but folds out when the threading is completed to stop the cord from falling back through the holes when under tension. Simple but effective.I can't say I felt any difference in the chair once it was repaired, but it's very pleasing to give what was a rather expensive broken chair a new lease of life with a very cheap fix. Highly recommended.

This combination is perfect for repairing one full chair or part of more than one lounger. It's great to have spares, just in case I need them in the future.Initially, I was a bit hesitant about the replacement process, but I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward it was. There is a bit of a knack to it, but with a little patience and looking at how another recliner was threaded, I successfully replaced 2 broken cords.Once I replaced the old cords with these new ones, the difference was remarkable! My recliners felt as good as new, providing the same comfortable and relaxing experience they did when I first bought them. Fit our two loungers well. However, in a salty atmosphere they are only lasting 2 years.Need to find a better quality replacement.

I can't believe I was seriously considering throwing the chair away before finding this item.It does the job,and as the chairs are sprung with four separate cords..... which I didn't know before because I hadn't looked too closely at them prior to the cord snapping,I ended up with three spare for future use.I took note of previous reviews saying you had to stretch them considerably,and one very useful review suggested using cable ties to secure the item prior to restringing. I did this,and found it fairly easy to do without any assistance.Highly recommend

I bought two sets to restring two zero gravity chairs. The photos show how worn the original elastic was and also restringing underway. I have to say it was not easy. I removed one side at a time so that I could duplicate the existing stringing on the other side. I don’t know what brand my chairs are but the elastic was a very very tight fit. I had to resort to using cable ties to keep the cover under tension and two pairs of pliers to grip, stretch and keep the elastic taut whilst restringing. It took me several hours to complete one chair. I have yet to start the second chair. I am not looking forward to doing this as the two longer elastics are a good 6” shorter (unstretched) than the ones I used on the first chair. I may well have to contact the seller if they are too short hence four stars instead of five. Overall it’s saved buying new chairs and hopefully I will get another few years use out of them.
