Q: Is there any way for small insects to enter this bin? I live in Hawaii and the flies will get into this if there is an opening.

I have used this bin in my freezer (rather than my countertop) for years to avoid fruit flies and smells. Works like a charm—highly recommend.

Q: Is it pretty east to clean if you don't use a liner?

I have always used a liner, but I have washed it out just as I would any other dish or container with no problems. It is easy to dry and start using right away after washing.

Q: Are there replacement filters available?

To those who answered yes, where do you get them? I could not locate them here or on Wayfair or Walmart. Please answer this.
