I bought this 3/22/2020 - right at the beginning of covid, when you couldn't find bottled water anywhere because of all the hoarding. I've been very happy with it - well worth the $140 I spent. No leaks, no problems. I usually do NOT use the chill function - I don't plug it in, I don't need cold water. I use this to fill ice trays and for every drink I make, also for cooking. I turned the cooler on when I first got it and decided that it's really just wasting electricity - because I still want ice in my drink.I fill a class with tap water, then a glass from VitaFilta - and the smell and taste difference in incredible.I also love that I'm not filling the dump with plastic bottles and that I don't have to save bottles to recycle - as well as lugging heavy water bottles into the house.I wonder if some of the negative reviews are caused because the buyer didn't read the instructions. You have to rinse the charcoal filter. Rinse it over a clear bowl, and you will see the dark particles and light gray water - is this what causes some of the taste complaints. You need to rinse it until the water runs clear.I didn't understand the one comment someone made about the filter falling out? You have to place the filter in the round hold, and ensure that you've pressed it in the hole - otherwise it won't filter very well.I use this all the time, I love it. Mine has never leaked - and I have washed it many, many times - so it's had plenty of chances to crack, get loosened, by my dumping water, turning it upside down, etc. Again, I don't plug it in, so I can't speak to the complaints that the cooling didn't or stopped working, but you don't have to use the cooler, it'll still filter water, and that's the best part.

The media could not be loaded. The biggest issue with this product is that the filter is installed from the bottom up so it has the potential to just fall right out. This makes it so that your non filtered water and your filtered water mix and the hour you spent waiting for it to filter goes to waste. Complete design flaw. The suction cup for the filter just isn’t strong enough when you completely fill the top section. I’ve had to dump the water out and try again three times in a 5 day span so far… might try to return or something if this keeps upEdit: from a 2 star to a 1 star… because now the faucet is leaking… I bought this ahead of time for my move so I can’t return it. I’d save your money and get something else because this thing just has too many problems

I’ve had this product for 8 months now, and I love it. I am so glad I don’t have to buy plastic water bottles any more! I love that it doesn’t take up space in my refrigerator, but I can still have cold water at any time. I keep it near my sink so I can easily refill it with tap water. It’s easy to set up, easy to change the water filter, and it doesn’t take up much room. I called customer service once, and they were very quick and helpful. It doesn’t bother me, but the only down side I might could see is that the amount of water that is the coldest is only enough for 1-2 water bottles. After that it starts dispensing water that isn’t as cold unless you wait for it to cool again. I’m so glad I purchased this product.

I have purchased a vita filter a good number of years ago, and at that time I liked the fact that it filtered out the heavy metals, including mercury and chlorine, but left the beneficial minerals behind, so it was not distilled water. I just wish that the cooling container held more water and it would not have to "sit" in the holding area. My solution is to empty the water into bottles and refrigerate. That way there is no sitting water left behind.

First off, this is a very modern looking unit. A nice upgrade from the ugly looking water coolers you’re used to seeing in offices and places.It came pretty much ready to use out of the box. I gave everything a quick wash before filling it with water, then put the tanks together and turned it on. After I filled it with water it was spitting out ice cold water in a couple of minutes.There’s three big pluses that I really like about this water cooler:- There’s no plastic or chemical taste- The temperature control is easy to use and I like that I can adjust it up or down- I can just use tap water and let the filter do the work instead of having to buy the big blue 5 gallon bottles of prefiltered water.So happy I decided to get this and definitely recommend to anyone thinking about getting it!

I started having problems with it after about one month in. Seller sent me replacement filter but could not help with the other problems I had with it (water was weird, noise was loud, couldn't cool to correct temperature properly, took very long to cool down so it had to run most of the time all day everyday, etc). After a bit over 1 year it stopped working completely. What a waste of money.

This water cooler is exactly what I needed for my office. It provides cold filtered water for me to drink and fix coffee. I like it a lot. I would just caution that it probably does not cool enough water for multiple people.
