Fantastic for beginners.
I just got this in, and I have figured out that I am total novice. This thing is great! As a preteen and early teenager, I played the organ. But due to undue pressure at this age to play publicly, I quit playing altogether. As an adult, I often wished that I had continued playing, but the fact is that I have not touched a musical instrument since I was an early teenager.OK, it now seems that I am retiring, whether I want to or not. So I ordered this keyboard see how much I remembered about playing a keyboard instrument. (I actually played several wind and keyboard musical instruments as an early teenager.) The sad answer is that I don't remember anything about playing any musical instruments. But that is not an insurmountable problem with this keyboard since instruction is built-in on the keyboard screen. It shows which fingers to use and where they go in the keyboard, and it shows this information as each note is being played. It also has a bunch of built-in songs which are also showing this same tutoring information as the built-in songs are being played.Plus, there is also a piano course on CD which comes with the keyboard that also teaches you how to play the piano. (I haven't gotten into the software much yet.)The keyboard does seem to have a full assortment of musical instruments as voices. Plus a large assortment of accompanying rhythms.Don't ask me for exact numbers of songs, rhythms, or voices since I just opened the box and set it up, plus did some basic familiarizing with it. (Nor are all of the extras listed on the keyboard menus which are printed on it.) I have just played on the keyboard enough to understand what I had forgotten.I was able to set it up and start (attempting) playing it without reading any instructions. In fact at this point I have still not opened the instructions, so it is super easy to get started on.I don't know of any of learning to tool which would be better then this. This only thing that this keyboard requires is the wish to learn.Assembly note: I am sure that one thing will trip many people up. There is no package of screws for the X-Base. That is because the screws are already screwed into the legs on the base. You will have to unscrew them to attach the members to the X-Frame. It comes with a couple of tools, but the allen wrench that comes with it is the only tool that you will need to set it up.

Excellent for beginners!
I don't have high expectation given the price, but the functions are amazing. As a beginner, I can read the stave on the small screen and also the embedded tutorial is extremely helpful.

I have a problem
I did like it at first, but now I have a problem with the sound and the headset, plus I saw a 61 key Casio at Costo for under $100.00and with a better sound. Sorry that I have to say this, if I had the money I would buy another Keyboard, (yes a Casio) for I know you have a good product, but this is a lemon. Anthony C. Arrigo

The keyboard works fine, but the rest is useless
I wish I had read the negative reviews more carefully and bought just the keyboard. The keyboard works fine, but the rest is useless. The eMedia didn't work at all. The stand was totally unnecessary because we like to play it on the computer table, sometimes learning how to play from the Internet. As for the headphone, like someone said, you need a square head to wear it. We threw it out. The premium package is a waste of money, time, and space.

Decent option for beginner piano practice.
Bought this keyboard to practice piano as an adult beginner. The keyboard seems to be decent in "piano" mode, but all the other instrumental voices and rhythm options are definitely overkill for me. And they are very cheap sounding more like a toy than an instrument. I bought the premium package which includes the headphones, stand, and e-media learning cd. The headphones and stand are pretty good value for the extra price but the e-media software is a cheap downsized starter CD that is probably not worth the extra $10.

Keyboard is lightweight and the headphones are nice. Stand is very sturdy
Well packed and was delivered on time. A decent keyboard package for beginners. Keyboard is lightweight and the headphones are nice. Stand is very sturdy. Fours stars because there's no backlight for the screen. So it's hard to see at night. And the sound effect could have been made even better. I'm enjoying playing on it.

Great for the price and extras I didn't expect!
Very happy so far. Didn't buy to learn, as I have a 16 track digital studio and needed a keyboard for some synths sounds and miselanious sounds I couldn't create without thousands of dollars worth of equipment, so this is much easier and cheaper. LoL. I've owned a casio before with much luck on finding usable sounds, however just got this hours ago, so I will be following up in the near future to let you know how it holds up and how I hold up with it.

Casio Key Board and Carry Case.
Was happy to notice that the sound was as true as a standard piano. I didn't order the carry case when I purchased the Key-board. Placed an order and received the delivery in two days (even though the delivery was expected in six-days). Very nice quality.
