The most awful thing I've ever owned.
What a hateful device. It's like it was designed to make you angry. It's poorly designed, hard to clean, the coffee tastes no better than a Kurig, it CONSTANTLY needs attention and it's always full of mold. Mold you say? It has these odd crevices in the mechanism that inexplicably accumulate with old coffee grounds. Of course you don't find them until the machine clogs and forces you to disassemble and clean it - which happens twice a week. Even with obsessive regular cleanings big hairy chucks of disgusting whatever keep coming out of the brew unit. Even if it wasn't a health hazard, the drip tray has the capacity of a pregnant woman's bladder, the water bin is always empty even if you just filled it, and it needs cleaned, descaled and flushed every 5 minutes. To add insult to injury, you can't easily change types of beans because the grinder holds a large amount of coffee that you can't remove without either a vacuum cleaner or making several throw away cups first. If you have a decaf drinker and a caffeine drinker in the house, you're going to have to choose which one of you gets to use beans and which of you has to live the miserable existence of the guy who has to use the ground coffee tray. Oh, and the face of the machine is constantly spattered in coffee and water spray. It's like Gallagher made your coffee in a rain coat with a mallet. Also, their logo is applied with stickers that come off when you wipe the machine with a rag. If you buy this, you're an idiot. If you buy anything from Thermador (or Bosch) you're a masochist.

We love our coffee machine
We recently remodeled our kitchen and had planned to purchase a plumbed Thermidor built-in coffee machine, but the plumbed version was not available anywhere for purchase. So we decided to purchase a non-plumbed floor model from a local appliance store. We loved that machine and soon after it was installed we found out we could purchase the plumbed version. We love the built-in plumbed version more because there's less to do, since it doesn't have to be filled up manually and trays don't have to be emptied as often. We decided to keep the non-plumbed version coffee machine and install it at our business office for our employees. I decided to write this review because of all the bad reviews. I'm sorry that so many people have had issues with their coffee machine. Cheers to a great cup of coffee!

Not Worth the Value or Purchased Price
This review is for the Thermador TCM24RS, but it is the same machine as this Bosch, Gagganeu, and Philips. This machine has had problems from day one and it is related to the deficiency of the design. I purchased this unit for my new home December 2018, since I had both of the older versions of the Thermador and Bosch for 7 years I decided to get this updated version. The older version worked great for 7 years, never had to clean anything except for the drip tray, I mean it was a super worry free machine, and produced the best coffee flavor that our friends always love to come to have a cup because they all said it made really good coffee, even though I used regular Starbucks beans from the Supermarket!About this new design, after receiving the machine I noticed that they had changed the mechanical design of the brewing system. Since Bosch acquired Saeco they decided to use the same brewer system as the much cheaper Saeco machines. I have had 2 of these Saeco machines and had to sell both of them because of the maintenance nightmare. I thought that because this is a newer technology maybe they have improved the machine. Not really, first it was with the water level sensor in the drip tray, I had to call Thermador service to come out and look at the machine because it will occasionally prompt that the drip tray had to be emptied even though we just made two cups of coffee. The service person said this was a normal problem and the only thing that I could do is return the unit and get a different brand, huh! So we continue to have to live through this issue, especially when our friends come and stay with us we had to go out and buy a Nespresso machine and pods so they could use the machine without running into problems. The other issue is with the Brewer Group unit, this is a joke. It has always been a joke with the Saeco machines I previously had and I even bought one for my daughter that she said she stopped using. Constant cleaning, I would spend hours cleaning the unit to clear out coffee grounds that gets stuck in the brewer. The latest as of this morning is the grinder got clogged up with coffee grounds. What the heck? This is a coffee machine that grinds coffee why would the grounds clog the grinder? So is this machine worth the $3,500 I spent, absolutely not. I would not recommend this machine to anyone, stay clear of these machines. I have been evaluating a Jenn Air JBC7624BS built-in unit and so far loving it. I am giving 2 Stars because it does make good tasting coffee.

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!
I wish I could give zero stars. This thing is nothing but a $4000 paperweight at this time! I feel like a fool for making this purchase. After waiting 6 months for a grinder repair on a 6-month-old machine it now wants you to jumps through hoops just to get a regular cup of coffee.

Great device, great cofee
I felt obligated to write a review after seeing so many negative ones. I installed this device in late 2021. Upon receipt I noticed a crack on the inside of the device so I initiated a claim with Thermador. They agreed to send me a replacement unit, but since the delivery time was going to be long, I decided to install the device until the new one came. Fortunately it worked perfectly fine, and when the replacement one arrived they let me keep as many spare parts as I wanted from the original (brew unit, drip tray, bean tray, etc). Both units worked perfectly fine and made an amazing variety of high quality coffee. Very happy with this purchase (note I have the fully plumbed model).

SAD
Since we have had the machine - installed in 2020 we have had Nothing but problems. Warranty expired and every service call is over $300. Horrible customer service. It was the one thing I wanted in our kitchen for our new home. Such a disappointment and TOTAL waste of money.
