Eclipse Single DECT Phone with Answer Machine - Black

We bought this during one of the Amazon lightning deals. Honestly? it's just a phone but my gosh it looks awesome! We've just recently redecorated our entire downstairs and to make the house look as modern as possible and this phone definitely fits the bill. It's not flimsy as you would expect and it doesn't fall over or anything. It's sturdy and when you've finished with the phone it's easy to put back on the hook as it has some sort of magnets that pull it together. Loudspeaker is good, voicemails are good and easy to access, but again to be honest, the main reason we bought it was for the appearance. Would defo buy a second one if we ever need a second phone for the house

I've been after a new house phone for a while and fancied something a bit different. So bought this after seeing it on an episode of the apprentice! This arrived well packaged in the idect box along with instructions, rechargeable batteries and a tool to get the battery cover off. The oval shaped phone looks amazing and so modern. It can store up to 200 names in the phone book and a handy call block option. This also features a built in answer machine which allows up to 30 mins of recording. You can also change the ring tone, I did this once and it didn't even sound like a phone ringing so best to keep to a ringing tone instead of a melody. The second phone of the set looks more like a phone which my partner prefers as he likes a more normal looking phone and not the fancy modern types. The first set I purchased broke but I got in contact with Amazon and they sent out a new one the next day so absolutely no complaints. I would buy the idect phones again and would definitely recommend

These phones really do look stylish, and have had many compliments from friends and family who on first glance ask "what's that" and simply can't believe it's a phone. These phones are not only great looking they function very well, the only criticism I have about this phone package is with when you make an internal call from one handset to the other it would have been nice to of had a ring volume control & a choice of different internal call tones (like the external choices) because the volume is deafening and the tone shrieks and the two cannot be adjusted no matter what the manual tells you. But that aside this is a very stylish and a quality phone.

Oh this is a beauty. I have a Truecall blocker on my line and as is known some DECT phones are not compatible (mainly BT ones) and just dont ring. This phone is compatible - rings nice and loudly and is of a really quality build. The controls are intuitive and it looks like a work of art in my living room. Only one niggle. The help sticker strip in the handset when peeled off leaves a residue. Tight so and so's used a cheap paper label - i dont like labels on things.

Both units are great and I got it for a cheaper price than buying it one after the other. The sound quality is crystal clear. It exceeds my expectation of a phone and answering machine being able to record up to 30 minutes worth of calls. I don't mind pressing talk button to answer a call after I pick it up from the base as you do it with your cellphone. The design complements my home and I love how modern and minimalist it can be. It can store up to 200 numbers in your phone book unlike my former Panasonic. No buzzy and static background sound when I use the speaker phone in both talking and receiving. It is a well-thought piece of art and technology. Highly recommended for a home phone. Downsides are, we don't use home phone that much and it's over £80.

I would recommend this product to those whom, like me, want a phone that does not look obviously plastic and hideously stands out in your room. However, the handsets do not, at present, show a call log of recent calls and a few people have complained about poor sound quality from the other end of the line.

I'm so incredibly pleased with these phones, they not only work perfectly they are so classy to look at, my friends are so impressed they keep asking me where I got them, do I tell it not as I quite like the fact my phones are unique in style and compliment my room, I would highly recommend these phones they are incredibly easy to set up and the clarity of sound is crystal clear a must for any home

Easy to use phone that looks maybe more complicated than it is. I have only used this phone once or twice but it seems to do the job! (Purchased only to use for a short week as we only use our mobiles). The design is quite funky and it does definitely stand out. I cannot really comment much about further use as it has been packed up into the hallway cupboard. The only negative worth mention is the fact it is quite large and probably does not need to be along with the fact that it quite easily knocks over..as we have experienced having two cats...
