Sturdy, Handy, Stabile, Stands on it’s own
A physical therapist recommended a quad cane, and there was one similar to this at the hospital. The short side goes toward the user, to help stop tripping. The wider side goes on the far side of the user, to give more balance. It takes practice, to get used to, to learn how to keep it away from the feet. The Cardiologist says it’s a tripping hazard, but so far, it’s the only cane that stands in its own on all surfaces. Hubby doesn’t do stairs with it though. It needs to be turned sideways for stairs. Not easy. And he needs it more for balance than support. He also only has 1 hand. So, with this he can let go of it.

Good piece of equipment.
Well packed during shipment. Easily adjusted via instructions. Works well when adjustments are made.

More expensive than the one I thought I ordered
First of all I will say this quad cane works well and is sturdy so I am using it daily without hesitation. With that said I thought I was reordering the Hugo quad cane. To my surprise this one came instead so make sure you look closely at your order so make sure you’re getting what you ordered. This quad cane was about $10.00 more than the Hugo I originally bought. I am using a stairlift at my house and I find it more convenient to have a quad cane by my stairlift chair at both the first and second level of the home so I’m not messing with carrying it up and down on my stairlift chair. I feel very comfortable with either quad cane but I choose to use this quad cane only in my upper floor of my house and keep my Hugo on the lower level which I use in the house as well as when I leave the house in my car. These quad canes are very superior over other canes because you can momentarily let go of them and they won’t fall over. Both quad canes can easily be righted up just by using one foot at the base of the quad cane on those occasions when you do knock it over. I know Hugo has a video on this. Not sure if this brand has a video or not but the same concept applies to both quad canes. While both quad canes work well if I ever need to order another one I would order a Hugo instead.

My parents use it outside
My elderly parents always use this four pronged cane outside. We have had it for over an year and it works just like new.

Quad Cane-
quad cane- so wanted to like this cane. I have poor balance and wanted a cane to help me get around better. This was not the one. First- it is extremely difficult to adjust. Pushing the button down is almost impossible- I had to use a wrench to push and hold. Finally got it to the correct height, verify that is set for right handed side, and try to walk around on my very flat hardwood floors. It is very wobbly. I can only imagine what it would be like on a less than ideal walking area..... disappointed- the search continues
