Works with guitars
Despite the product claiming it doesn't work on Clone Hero, you can use Joy2Key to remap themNo input lag, easy to use (the issue with clone hero was a solvable game problem, not a product problem)The cable is short which is an issue if you don't have a way to support the USB connector, (unless it is a vertical usb port) but it works perfectly fine

Overpriced and fundamentally broken.
Main reason why I buy PS2 controller adapters to use with my modern computer is because new controllers tend to die or get stick drift within a year, while my old PS2 controllers are still working fine over 20 years. Unfortunately this company took advantage of market scarcity and is ripping people off with hardware they couldn't even be bothered to double-check works for the very thing they advertise it's for.Left analog stick directions overlap with D-Pad directions. That means that D-pad buttons are inseparable. There is no way to fix this - no third party softwares I could download that would de-link them. The adapter is just fundamentally built to do this. This wouldn't be much of an issue if the only games you play use both the D-Pad and left analog stick interchangeably for movement, but many modern games (Death Stranding, for one) separate them nowadays for menu functions. More buttons to use are ALWAYS better, it's why I prefer to use a PS2 controller instead of a GameCube one. This adapter forces you to not have the choice. Right analog stick is even worse - the 'up direction' on it overlaps with the left trigger. What?? Why???I bought another adapter that looked suspiciously similar over on eBay for literally half the price and it has the EXACT SAME issues meaning they are marking it up on Amazon as well.Contacted seller here on Amazon with my issue and they said they'd replace it without me having to return, never got a replacement or follow-up. I reinstalled drivers, I tried using multiple different third party keymapping softwares and none of them could fix the button overlap.

Works well, but needs a little tech knowledge
I order this to hook an old PS2 Guitar Hero controller to my PC. The adapter functions perfectly fine, but as many others have said, the whammy bar and the strum interfere with each other. However, I installed the DsHidMini drivers and utility (google it, and follow the installation instructions), and now everything works correctly. The default XInput mode works well, but I switched the controller to SXS mode to be more Playstation-like. It would be better if 3rd-party drivers were not needed and the adapter would simply expose the inputs correctly, but it's a cheap adapter so I won't complain about that.I also tested a real PS1 dual analog controller, and after the newer drivers listed above were installed, all aspects of the controller worked correctly. An off-brand PS2 controller worked completely fine as well, including pressure-sensitive triggers.Lastly, I tested the adapter with both a RedOctane soft dance pad and a generic DDR control box, but neither worked at all. The adapter was recognized, but diagnostics showed an "unknown sensor type" and no inputs were responsive. I didn't buy it to handle those so I'm not removing any stars. If you're comfortable downloading and installing drivers, I would recommend this adapter.

Need to download DsHidMini drivers
Was trying to get this to work with my DualShock 2 controller and PCSx2 but the right analog stick wouldn't map correctly. I had to download the DsHidMini drivers like another reviewer said, followed the instructions and it works perfectly for me now.Wish it was just plug and play; or if they had a link for their drivers anywhere. But at least it works and it's not too expensive

Works with Clone Hero but you NEED TO DOWNLOAD DRIVERS!
I needed the SCPToolkit drivers to get it my old PS2 guitar working on Clone Hero. Look up "Clone Hero SCPToolkit reddit help" and they'll help you figure out how to install it. I found my old childhood PS2 guitar and it still works - this adapter was the only thing I needed to be able to play it on my PC. The whammy bar doesn't work, however I don't know if that's the adapter or it being such an old guitar. However everything else works, there's no input lag, and even the tilt feature worked for me!I saw others say they had a paper in their package with a QR code for drivers. I didn't have that, however I didn't use those ones anyways. SCPToolkit is all you need for Clone Hero (as of May 2024)!

Absolutely the best adapter for Playstation controllers
This is the ONLY adapter that is recognized by windows as a proper Dualshock 3 controller. When combined with either DS4Windows and/or DsHidMini they allow you to utilize ALL the features of playstation controllers, this includes all digital buttons (of course), analog sticks, rumble, AND the most surprising of all, pressure-sensitive buttons! I cannot emphasize how amazing that is. I tried over a dozen other adapters and NONE other replicated all these features. It may simply may come down to the firmware that is installed on the device, but this difference is key. I can not recommend this adapter enough, and I can ONLY recommend this one over ANY other.A VERY nice extra is that this adapter is 100% compatible with a Playstation Classic console that has been modded using BleemSync, Project Eris, or AutoBleem. This was my primary use for the adapter, but after finding out that even pressure sensitive buttons work, I ended up getting a total of 4 to use on my PC when emulating in PCSX2.I only hope that the seller/manufacturer do not switch anything about the production of this device, because once again it is the ONLY one that is FULLY featured.

Does not work for PS1 controllers.
I tested multiple Dual Shock pads as well as two different arcade sticks (all for PS1) and could not get it to register any input with any device. The adapter is seen as a "PLAYSTATION(tm) 3 controller", but does not register any input.

Works perfectly
Works good. Had to really make sure the ps2 controller part was fully connected to the cable and then it worked perfectly. No driver installation needed
