I bought these for my husband and he was very pleased with them. The only issue he had was the fact that they seem to wear out a lot quicker than other soft spikes.

I really wanted these to work, but they proved almost unusable in my FootJoy Traditions — despite the shoe receptacles being in great condition. The problem is the fit: these Black Widow cleats don’t sit flush against the sole, and the result is that they work themselves loose far too easily. Two fell out while I was only in the practice net, and I had to head back to the locker room to change shoes. On my next attempt I took a spare pair of shoes onto the course because I had no confidence in how many would survive the round. In the end I still lost another one. For something that’s priced at the premium end of the market, having to replace spikes every round makes them very poor value. As they fall out, I’ve been swapping them for more reliable alternatives. It really is a case of “buy cheap, buy twice” — except these aren’t even cheap. Disappointing.
