Handwriting: Learn Cursive! (Letter Tracing, Practice) : Peter Pauper Press: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: An Excellent way to learn Cursive style writing - just add a pen, some time and patience - An excellent work book. Start at the beginning (!) and work your way through it and by the end you'll know how to write in the cursive style. The book contains lots of space for practicing writing. The pages are also perforated so that they can be removed from the book and used completely flat to make practice a little easier. A really good resource for anyone wanting to improve their writing, getting into calligraphy or creative journaling. I used a fairly broad nib fountain pen (a rotring ArtPen) as it was more forgiving and made my first attempts look better than a biro. It also made the process of learning to write like this quite tactile as the pen felt nice and smooth to write with. I also used a 5 mm quadrille notebook to write in (rather than the book itself) as I wanted to leave the book in as-new condition. Using squared paper allowed me to keep my writing straight, slanted consistently and in proportion. Having completed the book, I know how to form letters and words in a cursive style, but my "joined-up" writing is not yet completely smooth and natural, but I suspect it may never become as good as if I'd been writing this way for the last fifty years. I'm just about to complete the book a second time, but this time I've been using my left hand just for the challenge and to see how hard it would be. Fortunately I've learned to write with my other hand through choice, but for those who have no choice but to learn to write using their other hand, this would also be a great resource. Review: Great book - Very nice book , well made Exceeded expectations, would recommend

Nice and clear
Brought it to help my grandtwins when they are learning to write. That said I have been trying to do these as well as sometimes my writing isn't neat. I have wanted to do calligraphy, this has afew ways to write that looks like that so I have been trying abit.

Fab for little learners
My step son uses this to practice his letters and finds it easy to follow

Good book
Good book for practising cursive handwriting, only quibble is that some of the letters are too swirly, to my mind, so I've simplified them for my child.

Ok
Not all letters are clear and how they are taught in school. Also spacing is too large so the practice is not for a normal school book size.

My 8 year old received this as a Christmas present from Grandma after receiving a bunch of other things from her. This is the gift that brought out a smile. We had 3 weeks of Christmas holidays and with all of the electronic devices and toys etc.. this is what he did to take a mental break. He loves learning to write in cursive and he is always asking me to write messages to him to see if he can read my cursive written messages.
