Soo thrilled with this hat. Bought last/ Feb yr 2019. He wears it every wear all winter and it still looks like brand new!.. It's warm and great quality.. I've seen others from different vendors and this is by far the best. ************* *****TIP -Definitely measure the head, the chart is right on and you don't want it to be to big or too small it ruins the affect. I was originally going to guesstimate and I would have been completely wrong My son is a Teenager and we bought the Gray, 62/XL, fits perfectly, I just bought him the black one also but he's fav is still the Grey.

I have always been a fan of certain types of Soviet equipment and happen to own a few items including one of these hats by a Chinese manufacturer that was of lower quality. I wound up giving it to my son in the Marines before he went to Afghanistan so I was in the market for another. This one is a great addition to my collection. It is a good quality item and seems like it will last plus it is made in Russia. The emblem on the front can be removed if you don't care for it as it is attached by four thin brass wires poked through the front and then spread out against the backside of that face. It is not heavy but a little bulky as compared to a standard watch cap but that is to be expected. It is also very warm and has two tie strings that hold the side flaps up and over the top that will allow you to pull the flaps down to keep your ears warm. Спасибо (thank you).

Received the hat on time. I ordered the hat one size larger, as I wear a 7 1/2 which is a large, I ordered XL to be on the safe side. The hat fits perfectly, not too tight, nor loose. the hat came with the Soviet insignia already attached, this must be due to people having issues attaching them in the past. Well made and the tag says made in Russia. these hats are very warm. I purchased this because I'm a History buff and about as anti-communist as one can get...which is the joke of the hat and me wearing it... A nice note inside the hat from the seller thanking me and to contact him if there were any issues. There weren't... A great curio from the Cold War Era...

nice quality and very warm. it's stiff enough to hold its shape and the faux fur is very soft and real looking. no washing instructions but I'm sure you can figure it out. i would recommend it as it's also a peice of functional history at a good price. great for reenactments or just to stay warm. fast shipping too. comes with instructions on how to install the emblem properly. it is a light weight metal emblem with a rosin type material that makes the red star. almost like high quality costume jewelry.

My 12 yr old son had begged me to get him this. It is well made and very warm the only complaint is the pin (emblem) thing is very difficult to put on the hat. The material is very thick and cumbersome for poking the emblem in. I had to use a sharp instrument which they suggest you not do but it was the only way to get the thing on. You wouldn't have to put the emblem on but of course my son wanted it on. He is only 12 so I got a sz medium and it is plenty big enough.

I love this hat! It is very warm and has just enough shape to look good with pretty much whatever outfit I pair with it. It also feels and looks a lot better than wearing a beanie everywhere. I took off the hammer and sickle pin (easy to do) becasue I don't feel super pro-soviet right at the moment. Still looks great!

My 10 year old son bought this hat for himself. He wanted to leave a review, which he wrote in the headline. He is obsessed with World War II, and wanted this hat so he could play World War II with his brothers. He loves it. He ordered a medium and it fits him pretty well.

I used to have one of those back in the day when I was growing up in the Soviet Union. Was original military issue... one of my favorite winter hats. So trust me on this one...it's as close to the original Soviet Military Hat replica you can get...! I was impressed. I bought it as a Christmas gift exchange and had a hard time to part with it... It also made one of the best gifts of the night...it got stolen several times... Good gift and good quality.... buying one for myself right now.
