Spice Garam Masala Powder, 7 Ounce

This product is packed with flavour. I saw it once in the supermarket in Jamaica and decided to give it a try. I use it on all meats except for fish. I was not able to find the product again so thank God for Amazon! I bought another bag.

Liked the unique flavor for my Indian dishes.

Makes any dish better

Excellent quality, I love this brand for spices. It is much less expensive than some of the grocery store brands but just as good if not better. I tend to use a lot of garam masala, it's amazing on any meat or vegetables. In the store it costs this much for 1/4 of the product. I've already gone through half the bag!

As a staple garam masala to have around the house, this is very good and affordable. Not impressive, not great - a McCormick level, generic, everyday spice mix. But well suited for everyday use; I keep it in a mason jar and it stays fresh until it's gone.

If you're going to cook indian cuisine there aren't many dishes that don't call for this spice. Apparently depending upon what part of the country you're dealing with this spice can be radically different varying from sweet to spicy there are apparently even secret family recipes for it. I can only say that my new to indian food pallette likes this one it's not too spicy or too sweet for me anyhow. The spice is hard to find in the grocery store and even if you can it's one of those tiny bottles for way too much money situations. I've decided to try some simple dishes like butter chicken to see how it turns out it only calls for a few tablespoons of the spice so this quantity should last a good long time if you store in properly (suggest air tight tupperware or even vacuum sealing).

Good product

I decided to purchase this brand after reading the reviews. I'm so glad I did. While I haven't cooked with it yet, the aroma when I opened the bag is amazing. I can smell and taste the ingredients. Has a very nice light hint of heat. No over powering cinnamon, or one dominant spice. I used to make my own Garam Masala. This is so much easier and I can add additional chili to up the heat. And lets just say, you can't beat the price. A small bottle of Garam Masala in the grocery store is almost $7.00 I received 3 times the amount with this purchase. I will mention that the ingredient list on my bag is just slightly different than what is listed. I will account that to the person who blends the Masala to adjusting for the strength of each spice used at the time of manufacture. I will not hesitate to purchase this again, or any of their other products. Thanks Amazon!
