Works. But be careful when installing.
One roll pin needed to be properly installed and the shaft doesn't line up with the oil pump the same as factory so be aware of that...works after 100miles driven soo far.

Improved my gas mileage
Gas milage improved and the sound of my exhaust is so much better than with my old stock distributor + pertronix set-up.

Worth the Money.......
I run several Ford 302s or 5.0s if you prefer. I am an old school guy. I grew up in an era where most vehicles had the tune kit..."Points, Plugs and Wires, Condenser. Plug and Play one wire HEI is the way to go. I've had 0 issues with mine which is several years old. Plus you still get to use the archaic "Timing light" you have....if you are my age...

Missing Major Components!!
Purchased a red cap HEI distributor for a top end rebuild project on my Ford 302. I purchased the distributor alongside a lot of other parts for my project. I like to have all my parts in-house prior to starting a project. After installing other components, it was time to install the distributor. Opened package and the distributor looked great. Took off the cap and to my surprise there was no coil, no rotor, and no ground clip.I tried to return it but I was 2 days past my return date. No way to contact seller for assistance.Yes, I could simply order the missing parts, but that would cost more than just ordering another distributor. Every project has a budget and you typically don’t budget to purchase one component twice. Yes, I should have inspected the package when it first arrived, but I never really met anyone that regularly inspects their parts. I guess I learned my lesson!!So now I have a great looking, well built HEI distributor…. paper weight. Can’t really finish a top end rebuild without a distributor. They got me good.
