Amazon Basics Wood Wobble Balance Board

This is a bargain for people wishing to improve balance and proprioception. It encourages awareness of how the body is moving to counteract the wobbling of the board, thus helping put weight more evenly through both legs. I have used similar boards before and quite enjoy the challenge of tipping from side to side (without falling, of course) and am working on being able to fully rotate. For people new to such things, use it next to a wall or windowsill to help initial balance. Even holding on, circulation is improved. I don't know how long it will last, but it seems very robust and great value for money.

Very solid bit of kit for an excellent price! I at the time of purchase weighted 122kg and when I jumped on for the the first time an indeed ever since, never heard a single creek, moan or squeak coming from it. The platform is laminated wood topped with what can only be described as ‘fine sandpaper‽’, don’t let that put you off though, it’s very comfortable and exactly what you need if you go barefoot like me, plenty of grip. The balance ‘ball’ if that’s what we’re calling it is solid black plastic. Would have been nice if the full thing was wood but that’s just personal preference. The diameter of it is approximately 16 inches and maybe 6 inches floor to feet. Easy to store and really versatile in its use. Even my youngest enjoys it, he uses it as a round-about and a ramp for his monster trucks! The kids have had a go and so has the missus, brought a few laughs out of us all. Fun for the whole family.

This is a really good and simple exercise for your core muscles. It's well made, especially for the price. It is however very easy to fall off, so be wary of where you use it in case you do tumble. For example, don't use it next to where your partner has a stack of expensive wine, as she may scold you when you fall off and nearly crash into it. Personally I use the back of a chair to get balance before letting go. I put one foot off centre so the side of the balance board touches the ground. Then using the chair as balance, place the other foot slowly onto the opposite side, so the whole thing tips back up until it's level. It's quite difficult to balance, but that's the point, it's difficult so it really exercises your muscles.

I bought this wobble board at the suggestion and recommendation of my chiropractor. She was telling me that we all need one of these as we get older as it helps to train our core, strengthens our ankles and helps protect our balance. It's very easy to use and there are plenty of tutorial videos online on how to use it. It is not just for standing on, you can also do push ups on it too! It's in my kitchen so I can use it while I am waiting for the kettle to boil (just 2 minutes a day is about all you need to use it to strengthen yourself). Gotta say that I was actually quite surprised at how some people in my house struggled with it, even though they are quite fit and healthy themselves, but I think a lot of it is down to core strength and balance and I can thank my Pilates classes for that.

Really impressed with the quality of build. Feel like its going to last for many years, so strong even for the largest of people I wouldn't see weight being an issue with this (im larger myself). Top has a great grip, sort of like a softer sandpaper, but as others have mentioned you will need to use on a non slip floor as the bottom will slip otherwise. My 2 year old daughter loves to wobble on it too, so easy to use. I've also used it to strengthen my core when doing planks.

Husbands gadget and he uses it sometimes. Very slip resistant and the quality makes the design look great. it is easy for him to use and does what it is mean to. Value for money.

Excellent wooden piece for balancing, brain training and just having fun. Personally it made me (F40) very dizzy but children of all ages and stages enjoyed
