Adafruit I2S MEMS Microphone Breakout - SPH0645LM4H (3421)

I didn’t test it’s sound QUALITY, but I was amazed by how well it DETECTED sound in my WLED sound reactive project, even with it being placed inside a project box and under a bookcase! I didn’t expect it to really do much and added it as a “because I can” feature for fun but it turns out it’s very reactive and we’ve used it a lot. The gain and squelch settings in WLED allow you to make it as reactive as you’d like and tune out background noise like your furnace The store bought LED controllers that I’ve used (years ago) had to be very close to a speaker to detect anything and light up but NOT THIS! Very impressed and would highly recommend for projects like this.

Worked right out of the box with no issues. Running it as a digital mic on the WLED audioreactive chain, it was detected in the console on the first run and has been going for 6 hrs now without any code modifications. I just ordered another.

Only works if I repeat exactly the person I am transcribing, into the phone myself-even then, despite being articulate I must make constant corrections. Try to get accurate transcribe of another person-talk slow clear English-you’ll spend half your time filling in mega blanks.
