The media could not be loaded. i have ADHD. Working in the office, when coworkers are loud or on the phone, can be very distracting.I tried noise canceling headphones. Those work, but i get ear infections, so i don't want to wear those 8/5.For a while, i used the YouTube video "white noise black screen". Then they blocked YouTube from the sites we could visit. Which i completely understand, i didn't like the idea of using the bandwidth, but i hadn't been able to find a white noise machine on my previous attempts to locate one. Luckily this time, this one had appeared.I was unsure what to expect, because it was new and there hadn't been any reviews yet. But it was inexpensive, and if it worked, i knew it would be so helpful to have at work.I took a chance and decided to risk it. I was only interested in the most basic feature... white noise. So maybe the other sounds were in the product description, but i missed them somehow.This comes with a charging cable. It can run off regular batteries OR it can be charged and you wouldn't need the batteries.Additionally, there is an "auto off" feature with three different time selections, which i think would be really nice for someone who needs it to help getting to sleep. I'm just going to keep this at work and use it at my desk, so i don't think I'll use that feature. But it's definitely something that impressed me.And then the sounds. There are several different sounds that you can choose from. I'll stick with the white noise, but if i were needing something for meditation, some of the other sounds are very cool, and again, if this weren't for the office, i think I'd make use of them.The product is lightweight and simple. It's clean and easy to use if you take the time to look at the little insert that explains the buttons.I'm very happy with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. This is my second sound machine, and is a smaller version of the other one I own. It has about half as many sounds, but still plenty for what I am going to use it for. I am including a video so the sounds can be heard on your own. Yes, they loop, but then, you're not supposed to focus on the sounds themselves, but let them act as a background white noise to help you relax or sleep.It's powered by two AA batteries or the included USB cable. (You'll need an outlet adapter if you plan on plugging it into a wall outlet.)It has 10 sounds in all and they can be played separately or you can have it automatically cycle through them all for 3 minutes each, and then loop over again. You can set the machine to play for 30, 60, or 120 minutes before turning itself off, or just let it play on until someone turns it off. There are 10 volume levels, and while I would prefer the range be lower altogether, it's not bad.The unit is light, so could be easily carried for traveling. The only lights are a small green indicator light that only comes on if you have selected a timed play. It's not tiny, but it's not large. I can easily hold it in one hand and my hands aren't that big. The sound quality is pretty decent for such a small unit, so no complaints there.Watch my video and judge the sounds for yourself. That would be the best thing to do.

What I like: Compact size, easy functionality, variety of sounds (many not on other sound machines), plug in or battery operated, sound preference memory, volume memory.What I dislike: Does not come with the ability to plug in the wall (you must buy another part), a couple of the sounds are light/faint even when turned up, must have nearby as sound does not carry well.Per instructions: I do not have a condition--unless you count the inability to perform my duties due to being annoyed to death. I have irritating neighbors and sensitive, barky dogs. I needed something to distract the animals (and me) so I could work from home, read without being so irritated my blood pressure spiked, and could provide a soothing background for normal daily activities. This works well for those needs.It has smooth looping as I cannot tell when the recorded sound stops/starts. Its' small size means easy transport from one locale to another, it fits well on the corner of a table or arm of a chair, and requires minimal fuss. I did wish it came with a wall plug, but otherwise, I am happy. I have only been using it for about a week, but use it almost every day for several hours. Thus far, I am still on my first set of batteries, so that is good.I am really enjoying the 'wind' sound and 'babbling brook' alternating between depending on activity and noise level needed. Wind works perfectly as 'white noise' to work, babbling brook I like when I am reading or trying to keep the dogs from hearing car doors slamming and people calling back and forth.

I bought this to mask the sound of adult talking/TV in the hall outside my sons' rooms. As many little boys do, they tend to eavesdrop and this little device stops that plan right in its tracks.I only use the white noise, but I have tested the others and they work. The timer also is good. The device can get pretty loud if you want it to--it is upstairs in the hall and I can hear it now standing in my kitchen.At the moment, I do not have an outlet in the hall so I use 2 AA batteries. I typically use the device about 5 hours a day (roughly) and the batteries last almost a week, but I should probably get some rechargeables :)Overall, super happy with the purchase. Simple and effective, light and portable, and most importantly, the volume can go loud if you want. Two thumbs way up!
