I like this jerky seasoning well. The flavor is fantastic. It says that each packet will do up to five (5) pounds of ground meat. You can season up to 6 lbs of ground meat with no problem if you blend it well. I added hot pepper flakes to the "HOT" seasoning. It turned out fantastic.

I have used both backwoods and high country but i will be sticking to BW due to the fact that they have less sodium than HC in most of their seasonings which does better for my family and tastes better in my opinion. My husband is also a type 1 diabetic and he has done fine with most of the flavors.

This is an excellent seasoning, not sugary, not peppery, just a great start to add any flavors you want. It is SALTY though, I usually use about 2/3 to 3/4 of the recommended amount for beef.

I bought this and have only used the Original so far. It is very Bland and Mild. This would be fine if you were feeding old people. But Jerky is not usually something old people want. Anyway, after first batch of four tier Nesco, it was bland. I seasoned pieces in bags, this helped big time. I added steak seasoning to second batch and was able to make it pretty good.I will update as I run through other flavors. However i won't likely buy this again. Original flavor, needs salt and spices (flavor). I guess all in all adding a bit of salt is not that big of a deal.....Good Luck Jerks!

My family loves the flavor and I love the fact that each pouch can make 5lbs of jerky.Flavors are rich. Original is very good and Hot is spicy and tasty.I make beef jerky strips and ground beef jerky with a jerky gun and both are equally as good.I use large ziplocks, put in the meat and the seasoning with the cure diluted in water, seal the ziplock making sure there is no air in the bag, leave it for 24h in the refrigerator before smoking for 3 hours at 175fDelicious

We have tried these and they turned out pretty great it was our first try at making beef jerky so we will hopefully get some more soon to try again. But my order arrived fast, on schedule and was exactly as described. Will buy again. Taste was great.

We haven’t made any jerky with it yet. I measured the package into just enough spice to make 8 batches of jerky... we do 3 lb. of ground beef at a time.
