Easy to put together and bury - still holding strong
I put this guy together with relative ease. Instructions were pretty clear and the setup was pretty intuitive. No problem there. Dug up my old mailbox (easily the hardest part of all of this) and stuck this new one right where the old one was. I had to add some dirt since it wasn't as tall. Filled in the hole with just dirt (no cement) and watered the dirt so it would settle and packed it. There have been several storms and high winds and this mailbox still hold strong. Probably helps it's plastic and really weighs nothing. Great option for a cheap but durable mailbox.

Easy to install
Our previous mailbox was finally done in this last winter after more than 25 yrs. We propped it up with a lot of rocks until the ground wasn't frozen. My priority was ease of installation. I'm not sure whether that was the best priority, but it was. This mailbox fit that. We used a kind of quick crete and did put the post in deeper than instructed. It now just meets the height requirement of the USPS. Barely. But the post really should have been longer. It doesn't feel particularly sturdy and is a bit wobbly, despite the concrete and tamping the soil with a tamper. The mailbox itself is pretty small, but I expected that. It also doesn't feel very sturdy, but I think it will last for a while -- though likely not 25 years! As someone else noted, the box door doesn't shut easily. That might change as it gets broken in.Do I regret choosing this mailbox? No. But if I'd allowed myself more time to choose and install the mailbox, I probably would choose something that uses a 4x4 treated post. However, given the money and time I wanted to spend, this was a good choice, particularly since everything was included -- post, bracket, screws, and box.I do like that it's subtly "not-black" -- it kinda looks black, but it's not. They call it venetian bronze. It also takes adhesive numbers well. I also really like that it's made in the US.If you want something inexpensive and easy to install, this is a good deal. If you're looking for something super sturdy, large, or distinctive, this isn't it. But given what it is and the price, I give it a solid 4 starts. If the post were 5 or 6 inches longer and the door closed more smoothly, it would be 5 stars for the price.

Perfect fit for a walking mail route
Product came with all its parts. Easy to read and follow instructions. Duh the post hole a little deeper than instructed, not much...maybe an inch and a half. We used quikcrete at the base, then a layer of dirt and another layer of quikcrete and then dirt. Tamped the soil down around it. This is definitely a 2 person job. One to keep the post in a straight upright position while the other pours and tamps. The entire job took 25 mins start to finish. Box lip snaps in place to keep closed and the flag snaps in place to keep it up. We had 40 mph winds the night after we installed the new mailbox and it never moved. Got that ugly old wall mounted mailbox down. This product is a perfect fit for our walking mail route. Color is perfect to compliment our tan siding. We are very happy we made this purchase. And it's made in the good old USA!

The holy trinity of products: Good Price, Good Quality, Fast Setup
Pros:Easy to install--Everything you need comes in the box.Easy Assembly--I had the whole thing set up within 15 minutes or less.Quality--The post comes in two pieces. One fits inside the other, and it's very sturdy. I'm not worried about it blowing over in a hurricane.Cons:Fits over a post? Nope--When I bought this, I wanted to replace the mail box which was already there. There was already a 4x4 post sticking out of the ground. I though this would slip over the existing post, but it has has a square base, not a slipover option.Door latch doesn't always catch--lots of times after the mail carrier puts the mail in, the door doesn't latch properly, and will come open later.

You’ve got mail
I had to move my mailbox from my front porch to the street due to recent road construction that made the street much busier. I looked at so many and ended up choosing this based on the reviews. The flag is a tad flimsy but the mailbox is solid, looks good, sturdy, and since I used 40 pounds of cement when I installed it, it won’t be budging.Overall a great product for the money and I had it put together in ten minutes. It’s just that easy!

Great inexpensive mailbox!
The only reason I had to replace this after about 8 or 9 years is my dingbat neighbor drove into it.Three times. Each time I dug out the concrete (bought a 10lb pail, anchored the mailbox right in the bucket the concrete mix came in), put a crimp sleeve on the broken post, and Bob's yer uncle! The last time she really knocked the stuffing out of the setup and so I got another exactly the same. And I will be installing it near the fire hydrant this time.Five stars except sturdiness. If you cannot survive three car hits, something is... well, that's pretty darned good actually! Back up to five stars for sturdiness!
