A very old book, but full of sound concepts
There is plenty to learn from this book, especially if you’re a novice when it comes to perspective. However, what struck me as soon as I started flipping through this book was how dated the language and context seemed. Then I found out this book was originally published in 1955! On top of this, I believe due to the nature of the author’s expertise, much of this book is framed through the lens of the commercial artist. That aside, the concepts are all sound, but I found some of the diagrams intended to teach to be hard to decipher, due to low resolution or ambiguous placement.

Comprehensive
This book really describes perspective in depth, and is very well done. The illustrations are great, and the instruction is very thorough. There is a lot of text - so may not be for someone looking for a quick approach. But if you really want to know the ins and outs of perspective, this is very good.

The real secrets of perspective
The mindless application of perspective rules as well ignoring them completely is the death of may pictures by draining life from the works--no surprises to attract and confound. This book is the Rx for all that. But one needs to know the rules before they can be adapted to the needs of the work. One of the few art books I own that is a true fountain of information (more applicable metaphors)--paths, windows, doors. Not walls and barriers.

The book is a great book but the brand new copy that I received was a very poor print all of the illustrations were terribly washed out and faded.

This is a great book for anyone who is an artist or studying to be one. Bought it for my son who is very particular about his art reference books, and he recommends adding it to their collection. However, having said that, it's really all subjective and comes down to personal taste and preference, but it is a thumbs up in our house.

Very condensed information. Not so much an introduction to perspective, more like a second book once you have understood the basics. It explains why you often feel that you need to cheat a bit when you do apply the 'mathematical' truth. Art is a bit different to science....
