Black Particles
The cartridges in themselves filter the water okay and it tastes fine but with all of them I have had black particles floating around in the water. Some come out when they are initially soaked plus I have found it hard to get the air out of them.Time to buy a different brand I think.

Works just about as well as others
Tried this brand after reading mixed reviews. Yes, the water does pour through the filter at a rapid rate of knots, as others commented. However, after dubiously taste-testing, I found the taste to be very acceptable after all. I can't say it was exactly as good as Brita filters but it was certainly good enough to be a close contender. AND the price makes it very good value.My local water tastes (to me) pretty disgusting - undrinkable, to me. Brita filters work excellently well but seem ridiculously overpriced to me.I have been very happy using Amazon's filters (I find the flavour - or lack of it - just as good) . . . . and now I will intersperse them with these ones!

Great Brits Filters for Maxtra + jugs.I use it on an Brits Aluna jug and they worked straight away. Good value for money.
