Great for beginning mouse skills and matching skills
I bought it for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson. I have a PC running Windows XP and was looking for something he could play. This program is used at my library and he loved it. I wanted it or something similar. It has a baby section and a toddler section. The toddler section is what I will be talking about. The program does not require the child to click with the mouse. That is what made it good for him. It grabs the item for them to match. So far we have played a shape match, alphabet match, music, and coloring. He loves his new game. The letter matching game says the letter and a word the letter starts. I love the fact that he is getting preceding skills and he doesn't know it. The shape match is in the shape of an object and when completed, morphs into a real version of the object. To him, the train engine was the best. He just thinks it's a fun game like his older brother plays, and that makes me happy.

Didn't work, try starfall.com
Couldn't get the software to work, apparently it requires an older Windows OS than we have. I recommend starfall.com to any parents who are looking for similar computer-oriented learning, as it has an entire kindergarten curriculum for something like $40 per year.

Only received one CD and that one won't load on my computer . Look for another program. Although once it is loaded my grandson loves the items on it.

Easy to use, but old and slow running
I purchased this cd for my 3y.o. son. He already knows how to use a mouse and knows some letters. This program will keep his attention for about 15 minutes at a stretch. I personally find the program to run really slowly, the graphics are clunky, and wish I had tried a demo before I bought it. I would recommend it to others looking for a cheap disc to keep the tots engaged for short spells while learning something useful. It works great to give me a chance to get dinner started.

Check compatibility!!!! This is 32-bit, not 64-bit
This is an ancient version, and even though it says it is compatible with Vista, they are referring to the original Vista which did not stay around very long. We had to find an ancient PC to run it... but that said, our 2-1/2 year old loves it! He turns the computer on by himself, starts the program, and plays it on his own for a reasonable period of time (great for us in the midst of a frigid winter!). There is a great compatibility checker at selectsoft.com (PC, search for product name). Check your PC by going to Computer - System Properties. If you order an incompatible product, you are on your own regardless of "bad" info on the product. (sad face)

Perfect for active toddlers
We've purchased the Toddler version in the past and loved it because it is so easy for young children to play and learn. This version includes Reader Rabbit Baby too - which is a nice addition because it gives more activities for my little ones.

No windows eight
Thought it would be good for our grandchildren but found it was not compatible with windows 8. Should say so on line.

Toddler Software
The 2CD box set is a good deal given the price of the individual CDs. The toddler CD seems to be perfect for my 25 month old and teaches him computer and mouse use skills in addition to the skills the software presents. The Preschool CD that is also in the pack seems to be a bit of a jump from the Toddler CD, though, requiring a leap in dexterity, cognitive ability and focus. But maybe I'm just trying it out too soon. One thing to be aware of, the Toddler CD does not work on 64 bit systems. I have it running on a 32 bit Vista system though.
