Great Classic Food Processor
I got this, my first food processor 31 years ago, a Cuisinart, made in France for several hundred 1987 dollars. Two years ago, although it still worked fine, the work bowl had developed a slight crack in the handle and replacing just the bowl was $50. So I looked online and found the identical Cuisinart machine, the DLC-10SY for under $100 - even less with a coupon and gave the original to friends (it still works). The new one worked beautifully, but there was a flaw in how the steel blade was riveted to the plastic stem. It malfunctioned after about a year, requiring a major recall. Luckily I still had the box and receipt and was given a brand new one with the newly designed blade, otherwise it was to be a year before the replacement blades were sent out (a tragically long time if you used it regularly, as I did). I still love it and highly recommend it but the same machine is sold elsewhere on Amazon for $99 and is an Amazon Best Buy.
