New fave daily-wearer
Ecco is my go-to for guaranteed daily-wear comfort. Reviews said these come large and I agree, but didn't want to risk too small. Ordered a 13-13.5 and these are easily 1 size longer. Comparing to my Cole Haan dress shoes, seems like extra room in the toe might be the trend. Fits well at the ball of the foot, which is a key comfort factor for me. Laces tight enough for my narrow foot and comfortable out of the box. Have worn three days in a row and haven't aggravated usual foot issues. Looks modern and dresses up and down. Typically get excellent wear with these rubber soles.

Extremely Disappointed
I had high hopes for these since I have always had good luck with Ecco. Unfortunately, these were not up to the standards that I have come to expect. Immediately upon unboxing, I noticed the low quality of the leather compared to the Eccos I had purchased previously. It is a dull, muddy brown that almost looks artificial versus the nice, coffee color in the picture.Secondly, if Ecco is known for one thing, it’s comfort, and these were extremely uncomfortable. There was absolutely no cushioning in the insole, and they felt like you were walking on a brick. As for the sizing, these run a full size large. Up until this point, I could order Eccos in a size 45, and be guaranteed of a perfect fit. These weren’t close. Being a boot, I can understand allowing a little extra room for thicker socks, but these went well beyond that.Overall, these were a complete miss by Ecco, and anyone in the market for a quality pair of chukka boots should look elsewhere.

Quality all around. The best fit ever. Nice stuff.
Wow! I bought these based on two things, the reviews here and the fact that I know ecco makes a quality product. First of all the reviewers here were correct, they do run large, big deal. I usually wear a 10.5 so I ordered a 43 instead of a 44 with these. They are without a doubt in the top two of best fitting shoes I have ever purchased. Frey, Allen Edmonds, etc. I am typically worried about width and do not buy shoes that just come in medium, but these are just right, not too tight or too loose. The toe box is perfect and the arch support is amazing, something that I never paid much attention to in the past. The leather is what I would expect...nice. I cannot recommend a pair of "chukkas" more than these. Honestly? I would gladly pay $200 for these. This could be dangerous.

Better than the pictures
So, I've owned a pair of Ecco shoes before but a different model, with that being said, I knew there would be a size difference. For example, I own a pair of Aldo shoes size 9, but for Ecco, I need to wear a size 7, (41). The shoe looks slick and dressy at the same time. It fits comfortably and goes great with practically any attire from semi formal to a regular pair of jeans. Definitely a 5 star rating for this. Never a disappointment with this company.

The shoes were very comfortable when I wore them but after very infrequent wear
The shoes were very comfortable when I wore them but after very infrequent wear, the sole of my right shoe has completely detached from rest of the boot. I would thought for the price that the shoe would have held up better.

Not as comfortable as before.
This is my third pair of Findlay chukkas. The first is 2 years old and was very comfortable right out of the box. The second, recently purchased, had a defect inside the boot which caused a blister. The replacement has noticeable stiffer leather. They are uncomfortable but I'm hoping will break in. It seems that production quality has changed, or perhaps I just got a bad lot. A bit disappointed.

they are so comfortable I kept them
As mentioned by others, they do run larger than typical US sizes. However, they are so comfortable I kept them. The toe box design and comfort is such that it is difficult to tell they are too long until you press onto the top to find your foot.

I probably should have purchased directly from Echo. I am afraid Echo my pass on returned shoes to other distributors.
