Smiffy's Men's Belt And Holster

I was shocked when I opened the mailing package on how realistic it looked. I’m a movie director (Showdown on the Brazos- Tubi) and finding an inexpensive prop was a true find. Would I wear it while out riding checking cattle- no. It is exactly what it says - it’s a prop. If you need a leather one- order and pay over a $100 for it. But for the extras in my movies it will be perfect. I can buy 10 of these for what one leather one would cost.

This holster was as advertised and rather inexpensive. The construction matches the price and seems durable enough to be worn occasionally as a costume element. The holster was a little too small for my purposes so I had to modify it a little bit but the prop I am putting into is not your typical cowboy style gun. I am confident for that purpose it would have been just fine. The overall fit was just a bit too large for me but had many notches for folks of various sizes. I have a pretty small waist and hips so I'm not surprised it's a little loose. It isn't uncomfortable and will work great with my costume. The color is closer to black than a typical brown leather and was a little darker than I expected but it doesn't look unnatural or anything.

I just got my belt in the mail. It was ordered for a Halloween costume. I went with this product because of the color of the belt & the faux leather look. I hoped it would not be too cheesy. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. The color is right on. The fit is perfect. The simulated leather looks great. It was the final piece to my costume & I'm extremely happy with the price, product & overall quality of the piece.

I bought this for my boyfriend's Malcom Reynolds cosplay. The holster is thicker material and higher quality than I expected for a costume piece. It fit his 3D-printed Malcom pistol snugly-- so snugly that you can be confident it wasn't going to fall out, but I was a little nervous the gun would break each time he pulled it out for a picture. I was pleasantly surprised that it has the tie on the bottom so you can secure the holster to your thigh and it won't flop around, just like Malcom Reynolds' has. As for the belt, yes it was much too small and more cheaply made than the holster. In fact it's pretty crazy how small it is for an adult sized belt. My boyfriend has a 36" waist and he was able to get the belt on the last hole, but it looked like it was going to pop off any second. Unfortunate, since the belt is thick (width-wise) and has neat bullet holders on it. Luckily the holster has a belt loop so you can take it off and slide it onto any other belt. I just wish we didn't have to pay $20 for half the product.

Great for a part prop

It's just "ok" for a cheap costume belt/holster. It fit my denix peacemaker very well. Size wise it's fairly small, so plan for that. I'm a skinny 34 waist and it just BARELY fits. It looks good to the eye though. However, the material it is made out of is extremely think and weak. After just one short use, it's beginning to tear and some of the stitching is falling out. If this is for something you plan to use multiple times or for an extended period, I'd look elsewhere. And the bandolier part is basically non-useable. First, the straps or "holes" for the bullets are extremely large. Being this had an obvious western/outlaw kinda vibe, I tried .45LC, and those absolutely just fall right through. They might fit some sort of fairly large rifle caliber if its a tapered/bottlenecked case if you hang them by the case. However, this will probably be a problem too, as the bandolier part is stitched on fairly poorly and every "slot" seems to be a slightly different size, some smaller, some larger. So unless you want to mix and match a bunch of weird calibers, you'll be better off leaving it empty.

This belt is 38" to the longest length hole, which means that it could probably be worn by a man with a 34-36" waist on the longest setting. However, the belt itself is 3" wide. Pants don't come with 3.5" belt loops. This means that the belt can ONLY be worn *over* the pants as shown in the pic. (That is to say, the way that a gunslinger would wear the belt.) There are 6 total holes. The model is only using the 3rd longest hole, implying that there is plenty of room to spare. In order to achieve what is depicted in the photo, a child or teen (not an adult male or "men's" clothing model) would have to be used. The holster and belt are foam with a faux leather overlay. That's acceptable quality for this kind of costume item, but the sizing makes the belt useless unless you are buying it for a child. Item would be fine if it were marketed as "Child's Belt and Holster..." rather than "men's." Ladies...probably given a narrow waist.

It looks great and seems just fine. I paired it with the Big Tex Pistol Big Tex Replica Six Gun Only Italian Import 4604 and it worked great together. I know that many said it was not big enough or it did not hang down like the picture. Obviously it is a size issue. I am a 32 waist and it fit just like the picure on me with the belt on the biggest setting. So if you are much bigger than a 32 it might fit but it will not hang down like the picture.

It looks great as a costume piece. Very well crafted and realistic looking. I would not try and use it as a real holster, but then, that is not what it is marketed as. Very pleased with my purchase!!!

Das ist schon eine Aussage, oder? Das Material hält mehr aus, als man vermutet (leichter, schaumiger Kunststoff). Aber sehr naturgetreue Verarbeitung und beste Optik lassen den Gurt erheblich höherwertig erscheinen. Hier wurde es tatsächlich geschafft, mit leichten und einfachen Materialien einen echten Ledergürtel zu imitieren. Für meinen Junior war das Teil dann aber doch zu lang. Also musste der gekürzt werden. Hinten ein Stück herausschneiden, kleben und nähen klappte 1a ohne dass der Kunststoff zerriss oder irgendwie litt. Nun wurde er bereits mehrere Stunden in härtesten Westernduellen getestet :-) In dieser Preisklasse und mit dieser Optik sind das für mich ganz klare 5 Sterne! Als perfektes Accessoire für den Faschingsball, oder eben als Spielzeug für den Junior. Einfach klasse! (Eine Längenangabe wäre hilfreich bei der Kaufentscheidung)

This set is EXCELLENT value for money. Really good quality belt and holster. We are using 3 of them in a production for quality Jane and they are good enough to cope with the blank-firing Colt revolver's we are using. The guns are secure even with all the dancing around - especially with the nice addition of the leg-tie on. The photo with this review shows the belt laid out with a toy (cap-gun) revolver in it. I'll add one with the replica's when they come. The 'leather' is thick yet supple and the belt is 7.5cm/3 inches wide with a good buckle. The fastening strip of leather is only a couple of mm thick but this makes it easier to make extra holes if needed. The Main 'Belt' slips underneath so it still looks good even if you're at the end of the strip. My 'Belt Line' for this - just at the top of my pelvis - is 40inches/102cm. There's still another 10cm on the fastening strip but some people may struggle depending on where they want the guns to sit.
