This is probably the best immersion blender out there at the moment. The shaft is one piece so it doesn't leak like Kitchen-Aid models with different tip attachments. It also does not suck up liquid over time like the Cuisinart models (where you go to take it apart after using it a few times only to discover gunk has sucked up the internal spinning rod into the attaching area). It has a lot of power that can be dialed up or down. Best of all it has NO safety button or switch so you can use it seamlessly to pulse and push your food around — with one hand. What I did not realize was how big this thing is — much bigger than the regular sized plastic Braun I grew up with. This said, I was disappointed that the bottom part is too big to fit inside a mason jar. Heck, it's even too big to fit down into the bottom of the stainless cup they advertise as an add-on item. (Nice cup, just can't use it with this thing.) I use a 4 cup Pyrex glass pitcher to blend things up if they are not in a pot. This bigger foot does make it stable to stand on its own though. Now it takes a while to make a smooth smoothie, and it's not a Vitamix, but it's also under a hundred dollars. I don't mind a little texture to my drinks. This still works better than your average blender any day. Storing this is another issue. It stands well on its own, but it's too tall for under the cabinet unless you take it apart. I keep mine in a plastic bin where bags of alternative flours are kept. Best might be to make a mounting for it to hang on a wall. Oh, also, make sure it CLICKS when twisting the attachment onto the motor. It will work even when it's not truly locked in place, but it will come off a little too easily when you go to put it away. I used it the first few times that way. I was afraid to "force" it any further so that it aligned with the lock icon.

We have stand-alone blenders which I always use for soups (transferring from the pot), but my curiosity was piqued by what seemed to me a sudden popularity for hand-held immersion blenders. I know that many friends have enlightened me since that they have been popular for a long time now actually. I did some research, found that this All-Clad Immersion blender consistently received the highest ratings and ordered it. I am so exceptionally glad I did! I used it the day I received it and was blown away by how much better it is than the stand-alone blender I had been using for so, so many years. It is fast, easy to handle, powerful and easy to clean. I definitely am delighted to recommend it!

I was so excited to find this immersion blender by All-Clad. I had been looking to replace my old All-Clad immersion blender since my husband accidentally broke. It was 13 years old and had always worked great so I wanted the same brand. This new All-Clad blender is so much more powerful. I made a cream of zucchini soup with it and it made short work of blending up all the zucchini. It has a nice long handle that allows for use ina large stock pot. I am please. The only downfall (if you could call it that) is I cut myself cleaning it....it is far sharper than my old one too so be very careful. Otherwise it was a great purchase at a great price.

It took me sooooo incredibly long to find the perfect immersion blender, but this one is IT. I was looking for a BIFL (Buy It For Life) option and this has not disappointed. I will update in a few years and let you know how it's holding on, but as of now, it's great. I- t feels incredibly sturdy, plastic parts are minimal (just the handle itself) and the whole immersion part is stainless steel. there's a little silicone ring on the inside of the immersion snout, but it's to prevent things from sticking and it's minimal. I'd be okay if it was all stainless steel, but it's WAY more than Teflon or a plastic attachment that I've seen. We are very concerned with forever chemicals and microplastics making it to out food, and there are concerns with both of those when you're dealing with hot liquids and high rotation knives - I can't imagine bits of those wouldn't make it into your food while blending. - It's powerful! We barely use much of its power and it does an AMAZING job blending frozen things or soups. The most power we use is to blend meats from cooking broth to make pierogi filling and it still does a good job. Overall, I was looking for a blender to prepare food safely for my baby and this did not disappoint. I'm so glad there are still good quality appliances! I would 100% recommend.
