Elmo MO-1 Visual Presenter, White

We were looking for a replacement for the old overhead transparency projector. We wanted a device that was portable and easy to use. This product could not get any better. We teach management skills to adults, and have participants do written exercises in class. We need to project their handwritten forms through the lcd projector. This product attaches to the PC and captures a full 8.5 by 11 inch sheet, with high resolution display. It also allows you to capture anything it sees as a .jpg file, or to even video your audience or other subjects. We are not very technical, and were really pleasantly surprised when the projector driver installed and worked first time. The zoom in and zoom out feature and adjustable camera position would allow you to project larger items as well. It folds up to about 3 inches by 8 inches, 1 inch thick and weighs almost nothing. If you're using it through the USB connection to the computer, you don't need the separate power cord.

This is a camera only, that you can position over a piece of paper or object, a laptop would would. It then sends it to a laptop program. Presumably the output from there can go to a projector. You will need a projector to make presentations. It is small and light, and comes with a CD-ROM disc to install a program on your laptop. The instruction booklet that it comes with is horrible. When you get it, spend some time with it figuring out how you are going to set it up and use it.

OK, yes, I spoil my granddaughter. She loves to play school with her friends and had this on the top of her Christmas list (right next to a Hover Board and a Large Beanie Boo stuffed animal; she's 10 and all over the place!) But if this promotes longer periods of school playtime where she's imitating her teacher, having fun and learning.. then I'm all for it.This was easy to set up directly to her TV to use as a monitor. The auto focus works very well. I've yet to try all the features, but since her teacher has one in the class, my granddaughter showed ME some of the features and how to use it.

Unable to use this because it doesn't work with a wireless system. Unable to return it because there was no receipt included in the box. A huge awful waste of money.

In compare to Ziggi, it is too expensive and there is no capability of turning the angle of the camera. However, It is well made and goog quality with light. It was not a good fit for my use with limited budget.By the way, the driver software is not updated for Window8. If you have window 8 then it will not work, as of now.

this thing is awesome.. it "almost" fits in your pocket. We bought it to use in a trial that had everything BUT a presenter. It worked great and, frankly, is better than a much older, much bigger ELMO that we have that we bought years ago. It worked right out of the box. Easy to zoom in. Lighting was great for our use. The fact that it is a sole source light might make you think that it is not as good a a dual light but we found it to work just fine (perhaps because of the advancement in optics)..

The LED is not that bright and as a result white text documents look yellowed and dark on the screen.

I have had this for four years now. I use it every single day several times a day. I do demonstrations for my students and have them come up and work a problem from their student books. I love it for art and I rely on it for all other subjects. It is so easy to use! I am a lefty and put it on the right side then simply flip the image. It has been a perfect doc cam, and I highly recommend it!
