I am only using these packs for cold so can't comment on heating them up. The bead makes the pack more flexible and more effective for treating affected areas. However, it is smaller than expected and for adult use, is limiting. Many of the other purchasers seem to be using the packs for children and they seem appropriately sized for that. The pack is also very thin, so I'm finding that it warms up pretty quickly. On the other hand, it freezes faster too.

They barely stay cold, they lasted for less than 10 minutes out of the freezer. I had them in there for over a day, they had plenty of time to freeze, so that isn’t a factor, they’re just poorly made.They also don’t come with cloth cover or anything so they produce a lot of condensation as you use them, which makes them very uncomfortable. You have to use your own towel or cloth to supplement, and because they aren’t very cold, you can’t really get any cold relief even when using the thinnest towel you have.Bottom line—don’t buy these. Spend more to get a different & better product—or just cheap out & buy a bag of frozen peas or something, they’d serve you better than these cold packs.

These ice packs are made of a soft plastic and are filled with soft beads that are very comfortable and not abrasive feeling like the traditional ice packs.

Handy they work as they are suppose too. I wrap them up in a towel and place on my back 15 minutes

Seems to be well made and durable. Haven’t had need to use it yet but like the quality so far.

Put in freezer or microwave to heat up. I've used them for 2 weeks now, no problems.

Bought these for my recovery after surgery. Holds cold & freezes quickly in the freezer.

These don't last very long in our lunch box. As long as they aren't needed for hours, they get the job done
