I had a complete knee replacement and I am 6 weeks out. My therapist has me doing sets of stretching exercises three times a day and I need to ice my knee afterwards to reduce the swelling. I have an ice machine that pumps cold water through a wrap. It works really well but I have to hook up a hose and it is a little inconvenient so I ordered this PhysioNatural ice wrap. It comes with a gel pack that can go in the microwave or freezer and a pouch to put it in to keep the gel pack off of your skin. I have only used it cold. It is fantastic. I leave it in the pouch and put it in the freezer with the net side up and it is ready to use in 2 hours just as advertised. It has two elastic straps to wrap it on your leg and they Velcro onto the wrap. the gel is soft and you can mold it to fit your leg or anywhere you want to use it. I use it for 20 minutes at a time about 3 or 4 times a day for and it is still very cold. If you put it right back in the freezer you could use it every 2 hours. This product works way better than I expected and is big enough to use on any part of your body I can't say enough about this and I recommend it to anyone .

This is the best gel ice pack I've come across. PhysioNatural thought through the details on this product and it's just what I needed. From my prior injuries and surgeries (not to mention my gymnast daughter's injuries), we have all sorts of gel ice packs in our house and freezer. Most of them, however, have lost their effectiveness after about a year of use. I recently flipped over my mountain bike and shattered my clavicle. I required surgery to repair the clavicle with a titanium plate. As I awaited surgery for a week, I went online to find a large sized ice pack that could apply cold therapy to both my shoulder, traps, and down my biceps. This ice pack is not only large enough, but it features two different durable Velcro straps that effectively allow you to position the pack exactly where you need it! The long strap allows you to wrap around your body and secure the pack so you can go about your day without constantly having to readjust or hold the pack in position. Even better, the package comes with a complete booklet that demonstrates all the ways you can couture the pack with the straps. I've been using this ice pack daily pre and post surgery and its done wonders to help me reduce inflammation and bring pain relief. I can't say enough great things about this ice pack. Amazing.

Very high quality. My favorite of all the brands I’ve used. Plush pouch is just orders of magnitude nicer than any others, with an insulating side and a transmitting mesh side with easy connect for the straps anywhere on the insulating side. The cooling part is generously sized and holds it’s cool for a long time. Not too stiff like some others. Molds nicely around the injury. I bought two when I had a total hip replacement and they were a very important aid in my recovery. They reduced inflammation and pain and were easy to continually freeze and use—very important when you have limited mobility and rely on them for your recovery. You can also fold the inside part along the dividing lines to alter it to your specific desired profile width, which I did as my target icing site got smaller over time. Highly recommend!!

I bought this large ice pack last month in anticipation of my rotator cuff surgery last week. It has worked out great and would highly recommend. It conforms to the shoulder very well and stays super cool for about an hour. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars is because I can’t put it on and off myself. Otherwise it’s awesome! I’m sure it’s more user friendly for other body areas like knee, back etc. I also haven’t tried heating it yet either. Very high quality product thank you!

I researched a lot of different ice packs prior to my scheduled shoulder surgery, I’m glad I took the time to do so. This ice pack is comfortable and conforms well to my shoulder. It is a universal shape so after shoulder recovery, it will be very useful for multiple other injuries/ailments. The outside cover is protective to avoid ice burns. The pack stays cold for a good amount of time and refreezes quickly for the next use. I found the straps difficult to use one armed but with assistance, they were very helpful to keep the ice pack in place. I would 110% recommend this product!

I have used this large ice pack & wrap for about a week now, primarily for my back. I'm very happy with the results! It is a great size to my lower back, shoulders and hip. Stays cold for a long time and fits easily in freezer. I have not tried as a heating wrap, as I have one that is very effective. I plan to order another wrap to leave at our condo. I would suggest this product to anyone who is looking for an advantage to soothe aches and pains and is easy to use. I am a little lost on how to utilize this for shoulder & hips? Straps on pouch are not easily figured out, that is the only issues I found. Great quality, sturdy and effective.

I highly recommend this product. Due to an accident, arthritis, and a tear, I needed a cold pack to wrap tightly around my hip and thigh. This well-made and easy to use pack works superbly. I keep it in the freezer as it softens quickly, then I shape it and velcro around the long waist and leg straps. I can walk around with it on and lay on it while wearing it for extra contact when the pain is bad. No fuss or repositioning needed! The gel pack is thin and flat, cools quickly, and fits perfectly in the velcro-closed pouch for wearing. Buy this - it is such a relief to find a cooling pack that you can wear while continuing your activities.

Purchased the smaller one recently which I like very well, but this one...just ok. One of the 3 gel 'chambers' has very little in it compared to the other 2 (also compared to the smaller one I already own). The smaller one came with 2 freezer packs and based on the 'pictures' of this one, thought it too came with 2 freezer packs...it does not. Feel pictures of this one are very deceiving.
